  • Don’t switch if you care about group messages

I switched over to Google fi from a major provider. The plan is cheaper and gets better service. The ability to travel and not have to pay extra or buy ESIMs is awesome. But you lose group messages. I can’t send any group messages if there are non-Apple users. I continue to inquire and am blown off or given the same steps to repeat with no real solution. Extremely disappointing. Don’t switch.
  • Wouldn’t replace by anything else

I’ve been a Fi customer for over 7 years and can’t see myself using anything else. Service has been seamless (although not always the highest priority bandwidth) in every country I’ve been - North to South America, Central Europe and Northeast Asia. Tethering used to be a problem on iPhone about 4 years ago but that’s a problem of the past. I feel like Google Fi relieved me from the “will I have internet” anxiety when traveling. 10/10 experience.
  • Support quality has greatly diminished

Beware: Google Fi was known to have great support when I signed up, but the agents these days don't even pay attention and are immense time wasters.
  • Throttled poor execution

I’ve had Google fi for several years, at first it was a bargain cost wise but that’s long gone. Currently paying about $40 a line and the data is significantly throttled. Right now I have full bars and can’t access the internet. Not talking watching videos but using maps! It is also very painful if you use an iPhone and there is no support for Apple Watch. I love Google fiber but Google fi is not worth it unless you get a great deal on their phone and don’t mind being locked out of the internet.
  • Worst customer service

This is the worst customer service I’ve ever faced.
  • Poor

It is very confusing how the program can be so good and easy to use and yet have such poor service that includes phone and internet disconnections. No matter what plan you choose, for me, I choose the cheapest one pay as you go so that I do not blame myself for the poor service.
  • No SMS

You cannot imagine how difficult Google will make it to set up. Also, SMS will randomly stop working, and you won’t know people aren’t receiving your texts and you’re not receiving theirs.
  • The process is unnecessarily complicated. Do your job!

  • No Service. No Refunds!

I was refused a refund for services that did not work in Mexico leaving me stranded in a dangerous situation. Customer service will lie to you and give you a run-around until you just come to terms with yourself to just chuck it off as a lost. Biggest Google scam by Google ever!

Worst service I ever had, the actually cellular service was functional. The problem was when I landed in another country my international plan was nonfunctional even though I had the international plan, then customer support told me two different things about a promo. Would not honor their prior words and would just keep saying they understand ( rather useless phrase when I have to keep explaining the situation over and over ( I assume AI). Reached up to Sup. I hope they enjoyed the 30 dollars extra they made off of my by lying because me , my family, and friends will now no longer use them.
