Pin your most-used devices, automations, and actions to the Favorites tab for easy access right when you open the app. View your Nest cameras and doorbell live feeds, and easily scan through event history. Set up and manage Routines in the Automations tab. And quickly edit any permissions in the consolidated Settings tab. Understand what’s going on at home with a glance. The Google Home app is designed to show you the status of your home and keep you up to date with what you may have missed. Check in on your home anytime and see a recap of recent events. Control your home from anywhere. Turn on the lights, adjust the thermostat, or get an alert when there’s a person or package at your front door. With Google Home for Wear OS, you can control your home right from your compatible smartwatch. A helpful home is a private home. Protecting your privacy starts with one of the world’s most advanced security infrastructures, which we build directly into Google products so they’re secure by default. And Google uses your compatible devices and data to make your home helpful, but only in the ways you allow. Visit the Google Nest Safety Center at safety.google/nest to learn more about how we protect your information and respect your privacy. * Some products and features may not be available in all regions. • Unimproving with updates

With app updates, slower to load cameras, slow to playback videos, sometimes goes offline after a clip/event is recorded. Does not register events while viewing live feeds. Misses many, many events, even misses the garbage truck!

Won’t allow me to add Sony Bravia 4k 2015 tv to Google Home app, hindering basic smart functions.
  • Lots of good features, but very slow to react on iOS

My wife uses it on her android phones and it works better, but on my iPhone it is very slow and sometimes just hangs until I restart the app. It’s been like that through many updates still no change. I guess Google doesn’t care that much about iOS users or Apple purposefully makes Google apps seem slow and buggy.

  • Delaying WiFi schedule

With the latest update, the scheduled time for WiFi doesn’t update when you delay the schedule. Before this update you could delay the schedule and the scheduled time was updated. Now you can’t tell if the schedule was delayed, or how many 30 minute delays you may have already requested. This update was not tested thoroughly

  • Glitchy and Doesn’t have a Timer

Bought the google thermostat with hopes of making life more conviennent. Unfortunately this thermostat is more inconvenient than a regular one. It doesn’t have a timer function which you would expect for any smart device. It also glitches to where if you try to turn off the heat it won’t do anything and you have to turn the heat on and then turn it off twice for any function to happen
  • WiFi extension only

Although Sirius XM is connected and Google says it’s streaming, it doesn’t stream. We’ve tried EVERYTHING. Unlinking, linking, rebooting, unlinking, rebooting, relinking, rebooting, different stations, made sure I’m logged into Sirius XM online. Doesn’t work. Also doesn’t always work with Apple Music, and we have a hard time getting it to connect to our phone via Bluetooth. Basically, we’re only using it as a WiFi extender with the ability to listen to Apple Music on occasion.
  • Cumbersome

I have Ring security at one house, just had Nest Cameras installed at my other house. I found the Ring app much more intuitive and easy to use. Nest seems to be trying to do too much, the app is messy, it takes too long for images to appear on the home hub and trying to link my ADT to the Nest app seems laborious. Currently I’m regretting this purchase.
