Beware if you fill your storage trying to back up your dead cats pictures it will fill up storage and you CANNOT receive emails!!! And it will FORCE you to delete the pictures from your device when you remove it from backup FOR SOME REASON?!
  • I don't like this app

The title says it all. My biggest gripe with this app is that it still takes copies of whatever photos you save on your device, even with backup turned off. When I turn backup OFF it means DON'T COPY ANYTHING I SAVE TO MY PHONE. I clearly DON'T want EVERYTHING to be on Google Photos. It's what I don't like about a lot of tech companies now. You tell them "no", and they find a thousand ways to do an end-run around your no. I hate it so much.
  • No better than iPhone photos

It’s no better than iPhone photos. Still can’t move photos I want to save and then delete everything not in a folder. Also, it uploaded all my photos to my google drive so when I canceled it my drive was filled so I could no longer get emails.

  • Google Photos’ New AI Search: A Disastrous Downgrade

    1

I’m appalled by the recent update to the Google Photos iOS app. The new AI search feature is a complete disaster. Removing the ability to sort photos by date, especially starting with the most recent, has made navigating my photo library a nightmare. The search results now appear in a haphazard, random order, making it nearly impossible to locate specific photos when I need them. This so-called ‘enhancement’ has severely disrupted the app’s functionality and my user experience. It’s baffling that such a fundamental feature was discarded. I’m not alone in this frustration; many users are voicing similar complaints. Google, it’s time to listen to your users and rectify this mess.

  • Broke third party support

Google wants to automatically sync all of your photos to their service. This app has been great for years, but they recently deprecated support for third party picture frames. If users can't share their photos with their devices, this app is no longer valuable to me. Google continues to destroy value for users senselessly.
  • Awful to use, especially with multiple accounts

It’s very hard to see what is uploaded vs what is stored in your phone. Made worse when using multiple accounts and trying to delete duplicates. Zero though for the interface and usability
