Description

Get to a healthier and more active life with Google Fit! It’s hard to know how much or what kind of activity you need to stay healthy. That’s why Google Fit collaborated with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA) to bring you Heart Points, an activity goal that can help improve your health. Activities that get your heart pumping harder have tremendous health benefits for your heart and mind. You’ll earn one Heart Point for each minute of moderate activity like picking up the pace when walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running. It takes just 30-minutes of brisk walking five days a week to reach the AHA and WHO’s recommended amount of physical activity shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, improve sleep, and increase overall mental wellbeing. Google Fit will also help you: SEE YOUR WORKOUTS Get insights and see stats such as heart rate, speed, pace, route, and more for your runs, walks, and bike rides. MONITOR YOUR GOALS See your daily progress on your Heart Points and steps. Meeting your goals all the time? Easily adjust your goals to keep challenging yourself to achieve a healthy heart and mind. MAKE EVERY MOVE COUNT All physical activity can help you lead a healthier life, and with Google Fit you can track it all in one place. Working with your favorite fitness apps and devices, Google Fit builds a journal of your activity. And to make sure Fit never misses a workout, you can manually add any activity your other apps didn’t track - from Aerobics to Zumba! CONNECT WITH YOUR FAVORITE APPS AND DEVICES Google Fit can show you info from many of your favorite apps and devices that are compatible with Apple Health to give you a holistic view of your health, so you’ll never lose track of your progress. These include Lifesum, Runkeeper, Strava, MyFitnessPal, Headspace, and more. CHECK IN AT ANYTIME, FROM ANYWHERE See a snapshot of your activity history across Google Fit and your integrated apps in your journal. Or, see the full picture in browse, where you can find all of your health and wellness data. Learn more about Google Fit and see a list of supported apps at: https://www.google.com/fit

When I opened the app after a 2 mile walk heart points say 42, then I sit there and it goes down to 3. It does this every day takes away heart points and sometimes steps. So ready to get ride of this app. Only wish Apple had heart points on their app.

Solo funciona para caminar o correr. Para correr bicicleta no funciona ya que no mide la distancia.
  • SUPER freakin enraging

Tracks steps only 75% of the time. Even when synced to Apple Health, consistently has ~25% fewer steps than apple health, many of which should be counted as “heart points” but are not counted. Attempted all extensive trouble-shooting to no avail. Permanently deleted and never again.
  • Accuracy Lacking

I love the idea of the app and find it motivating, but it doesn’t accurately track distance. It also will take away steps already counted. For example today I was already up to 9000 steps and the next time I opened it it showed 7000. I wish they would fix that.

No way of adding friends through the app to support challenges or even competing with a friend. Used my Apple Watch to go on a bike ride and it shows map of where I traveled but when I checked later it only shows some of the are traveled and not all.
  • Not recording my sleep stages

I always had a Fitbit and it always recorded my sleep stages and I love that cause it tells me how much deep sleep and dreaming sleep and how much I’m awake in this app just tells me what time I went to bed and what time I got up and because Fitbit decided to go ahead and change to Google, I was clearly upset as to what Google has to offer and it does not record my steps properly on my Fitbit it will say I have 7500 steps and on the app. It says I have 2900. I believe my Fitbit. This is not an app I would like to keep. I would rather go back to my Fitbit.

Just moved my data from the Fitbit app to this. Big mistake. Now my Fitbit won’t sync to the old app, and the new app is unusable. It didn’t even transfer my data. 😡 Well, it was nice while it lasted. Now it’s junk. Google ruins everything.
  • Sleep amounts off

Every time I open the app, it tells me that I’ve gotten two hours of sleep or three hours of sleep, because it is pulling only the first part of my sleep session prior to my waking up to go to the bathroom. When I log into Apple health, eight hours of sleep. Log into my Pillow tracker, eight hours of sleep. But Google Fit shows two or three, and I can’t edit it.
