  • Good but a few flaws

    I like the app a lot. I can record movies, shows whatever. My main issues are 1. I bought YouTube TV when I lived in NJ to watch the Eagles games. Literally got it strictly for that reason. Now I have moved to Harrisburg, PA and can’t watch the Eagles games! I ended up just moving to a different app for that. Then I kept it to watch some movies while I’m at work because I work overnight security and there isn’t a whole lot going on. But there is so many freaking ads. The ads make a 2 hour long movie take 3+ hours to finish. And it’s pretty obnoxious how many ads they have. There’s more than cable. But aside from that it’s pretty convenient.

    And adding some Spanish channels to the base plan I’m going to stick around. I never had any complaints about the service just the cost per month.

    I really like YouTube TV and going to consider my subscription with all the football and discovery/animal planet shows on here, but the only thing I do not like is that the commercial volumes are all different, some are super loud and compared to what I have the volume set to for the show. I always have to have the remote in hand to get ready for the commercial sound attack.

    This is the worst App I have ever had on my phone - and to add insult to injury, I pay a lot of money for it! It freezes constantly when I’m trying to turn on a show or news story. Xfinity is much more streamlined and reliable, and it never froze on me in the many years that I had it. I thought it got too expensive so I tried this. Big mistake. 🙆🏻‍♀️ You get what you pay for. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • YouTube TV is a nightmare for sports fans

    Get stuck in screens I can’t get out of. If you’re trying to watch the major networks for your local sports when you’re traveling you probably can’t watch your team. Hard to navigate on the Apple TV app, in addition to that universal issue. Hard to justify the price if you’re away from home even 1 weekend a month.

    I subscribed to YouTube TV because I travel for work and wanted a service that I could access from anywhere. Unfortunately every time I travel the service blocks me from watching sports because I am out of my home viewing area or have not updated my playback area, which they only allow you to update 2x per year. They require precise location information which is highly invasive and unnecessary, they raise the price every year, and it is not worth it.
