  • Can’t access account on App

I can’t access my Gfiber account on the app. The app consistently tells me that they don’t recognize my account. At the same time I receive gfiber’s monthly statement email telling me I’ve paid, but I can’t even access the link to the statement provided in the email, the website will show a 500 error. The technical team needs to fix this.

This app will disappoint. It constantly tells me there’s an outage in the area when there isn’t and the interface is surprisingly slow.

I’m very pleased with Google five so far in comparison to spectrum. I hope it stays this way. Also the monthly bill is $30 less than spectrum

I don’t like using app I rather just access it all online it’s much easier to change whatever i need online then on a tiny screen and why is there no search bar it make it so much easier to find whatever you are looking for like where is static ip

Ever since Google fiber sent the new horrible Nest routers everything has been terrible. Controls are now split between the Google Home app and the GFiber app and nothing work. Customer service is completely useless if you can even ever get a rep to answer. Trash.

This app is totally unusable. Opening a menu item takes over 10 seconds each time. Device management is nearly impossible-there is an option to rename devices that never successfully loads. Apart from the godawful app, Google Fiber’s coverage of my entire neighborhood has been atrocious. We all must restart our routers multiple times per day to video conference or stream on our “gigabit” plans. AND we need to use this shameful app to restart the router. Congratulations Google, you made me miss Spectrum.
  • Slow and Terrible

The app takes 5-15 seconds to load pages after clicking any button. If that was the only issue, I’d give the app 3, maybe 4 stars. Unfortunately, that is not the only issue. I wanted to set a static IP address for a device on my network and while it would be a 30 second to a minute task on Eero, it took me 2 hours. 33% because the Google Fiber app is just that slow. 33% because all of the documentation about the Google Fiber app online is out of date, and Google AI is probably being fed that, so it’s not useful either. 33% due to the “agents” just being humans using Google AI to answer your questions. I started sending screenshots to the agent following their steps to prove what they were telling me to do was not possible. This was after they lied to me and told me that setting a local static IP was impossible. Honestly impressive how hard they made it to set up, especially for someone who has done this dozens of time. I don’t think I could design a worse app if I tried. Good job Google, you erased all good will I had towards you as an ISP. Just go with someone else!
