  • Good Internet, Bad App

C’mom Google. Do better than this poor excuse for a management app. You bricked one of my PC’s Wi-Fi access because you disabled scheduling without warning and without opportunity to clear the schedule. This latest app update doesn’t show any of my network devices. Every menu or page in the app is either incredibly slow or non-functional. With this and Google Home, please stop perpetuating en$hitification.
  • Doesn't work

The new app update says it cannot locate my account but I've had an account for years. This is what happens when they let AI and Hindus create all the code for an App. GFiber support was worthless and had no idea how to support the App.
  • Can't sign in.

The "sign in" button doesn't do anything, so you can't use the app.
  • Disappointing Compared to Google Home App

I recently had to switch to the GFiber App after moving into a new house where the internet setup came with a new router that can only be managed through GFiber. Unfortunately, this app feels like a major downgrade from the Google Home App I used before. GFiber lacks essential features such as parental controls, which I relied on heavily in Google Home. The only available control option is “Pause,” and even that has been suspended for the past few days with no explanation. As it stands now, the app is basically useless for managing my home network. I really hope Google brings back the flexibility and smart management options from Google Home or updates GFiber to be at least on par with what users had before.

We upgraded our Internet, and since then have not been able to use the Google home app instead, we are forced to use this slow, clunky, awful app to manage our devices. I may downgrade my service and go back to the old equipment because at least it worked right. I work in software, and this is trash. If I could give it a lower rating, I would.

  • Add management

Your device management is poor to nonexistent. Add features to enhance the ability to see and manage devices access to the network, bandwidth management, time of day access, etc
  • Trouble in paradise

Parental control settings not working as they should. I changed my network password, and when I updated the devices some didn’t connect. But they would still connect with the old password 😮‍💨
  • Great internet. App needs upgrade

Have used Google Internet for over 3 years. Prior Nest Wi-Fi hardware was pathetic with poor coverage. Consumer Reports rates it at the bottom. Google recently upgraded the router & extender hardware which looks chunky but works better. The earlier Google home app was also ho hum. G Fiber app is better but not great. Has good basic features but overall performance & responsiveness needs improvement. In particular needs upgrading of the device management functionality. It is not very responsive and clunky to use to manage individual devices i.e. turn off kids devices.
