  • Best in class

I participate in triathlons and had used many different forerunner watches. They are best in class. The battery easily made it through an Ironman distance race. I’ve had no trouble with malfunctions. It gives me more data points then I could ever need. The recommendation to rest after long, hard workouts seems pretty accurate to how I feel and I find helpful as someone who easily falls into the trap of more is better that can result in injury.

Looks like the last update removed option to see the impact of “Movement” on the Body Battery. Can only see Rest and Stress now. This is useful when analyzing your data overnight. Please fix.
  • Garbage interface

Garmin forced all users to update to a new version of this app - and the new GUI is hot garbage. I’m not even going to go into all the ways the new user interface is trash because it would take days. I imagine the only way this still has downloads is due to all the users who are forced to use it because of their watches.

No downsides, it does what it’s suppose to do

Love the functionality of the Garmin watches, but the app sync time takes way longer than it should. There has to be a way to compress data and shorten the time for sync. I’d also Improve the watch adjusting time for time zones when traveling. Sometimes this is a restart even after a sync.
  • The worst app!!!!

Since the new UI I barely use the app. So difficult to see the data I want. So much scrolling, up & down, left & right. Way to much dead space. Latest issue is my sleep score won’t show on the app. I have to sync about 5 or 6 times before it shows. Garbage. Come on, Garmin. At least tighten up the tiles so I don’t have to scroll so much.

This app is one of my best fitness/ health apps. I like the data it tracks from my Garmin Vivoactive watch & Garmin Edge bike computer. My only knock is that I have yet to figure out how to sync my Strava walks to Connect.

Like the app for the most part but its so hard and nonintuitive to download data from the web.
  • Removing functionality

It is unfortunate that the people who update apps remove functionality over time. This happened on my previous watch made by another company. Now Garmin is going the same route. In previous versions of the garmin app, I could get my swimming splits by lap in the pool. That was pretty useful information. Now that is gone. I can only get total time for a swim. I have a swim 2.
  • Love it so far

I’ve only had my Garmin watch about 1 month, but so far I am really enjoying it. I mostly got it to track my workouts, (I weight train 4 times a week) and because I wanted to get into running. My only criticism of the app is that, though there are so many workouts to choose from when logging in specifics about my training session, they don’t always have what I did so I have to make an additional note of it. Otherwise, I love the app!
