Like every other smart watch, those of us working night shift are left wanting.

You have to open the app every day or else texts and phone calls don’t go through to your watch. Last years update made the app much less informative. Now I check it so infrequently my watch often unpairs from my phone. Meaning my watch is now unreliable. This will be my last time buying a garmin product.

7/30/25 — two updates ago my Fenix 7 watch was seamlessly downloading my sleep, thr ONLY METRIC I care about. Update before this one I was back to doing random resets of app, watch & iPhone 11 to get it. Now not getting it again. You have ONE JOB. Why can this just work like it should?

Have been using my Garmin vivoactive 5 for about a week and I love the watch and the app makes the experience with the watch even better.
  • Horrible App

The device is amazing! Super accurate and I love it! But the app underperforms and falls WAY short! If Garmin made a better app like Whoop they would be comparable and direct competitors but Whoops app is currently WAY better than Garmin.

I’m enjoying the app so far but the sync between the Garmin app and Apple fitness app tent to be missing a significantly amount of steps. Otherwise, still learning the ropes and liking all the amenities that come with the app
  • The best app in the App Store

It’s literally a health app, running, hiking, really all sport fitness app, and navigation all Rolled into one app. I have used Garmin for several years so I might be biased but the latest upgrades just make the app that much better and user friendly. I can do a home workout with weights, and Garmin will Show me what muscle groups I engaged. Once your Garmin gets to know you, it will create exercises tailored to you or recommend “runs” based on your fitness. For females, it is also a period/ cycle tracker. I’m sure I could go on about how great it is but will leave it at that.

I like the app but think there’s upgrades that could be made to better integrate it with Apple like being able to connect to Apple health

It would be extra cool if earned badges from challenges could be included as a widget on Home Screen instead of needing to click multiple times to see them. If I earn them I want to show them off. Thanks.

I’ve had my garmin watch for years and the app but as of recent the app isn’t syncing right. It doesn’t show calories or miles run or any activity at all. I’ve tried repairing the watch and re installing the app but nothing is working.
