  • No resume playing

First time I’ve used any app that has audio that doesn’t have a resume playing option of any type. Every time I stop listening to an audiobook, I have to go back into my library, go find it in audio, and hit play. I’ll actively buy my audiobooks elsewhere because of this. Same issue with ebooks. You have to go back to your library and find your book every single time you want to read.
  • Less consumer friendly

You can’t just download the epub files like you used to and send them to kindle. Looks like I’m buying Al my 40k books through Amazon… I don’t think many people want a separate e-reader only for black library.
  • Much better

I’ve seen a big difference. The addition of multiple languages is nice and it’s easier to sort through.

"Let's make an e-reader that lacks almost all e-reader functionality and make the UI seem like it was cutting edge by 2007 standards" has to be one of the funniest application development decisions of the decade.
  • Bad but has potential

Good user friendly format but needs language removal and night mode option. Also would be very helpful it already bought and downloaded books from the website could be grandfathered in and viewed from the app.
  • Great steps Forward

This is a great ap for BL fans. But, one thing I see missing is a “Reading/Listening Now” button. Having to scroll back down your library is a pain. But this is a Great Leap Forward, integrating the purchases from the website to the app is long overdue.

I got bribed by 8 free books including associated audiobooks and translated copies. The only thing I have any problem with, is the lack of the ability to listen to the audiobook and read along to the Ebook, first world problems.
  • Seems good so far, but there’s some quality of life things that are needed

This review was made shortly after downloading the app and trying it out for a few minutes, just to find all the intricacies of it. The app itself is functionable, I can read the books perfectly fine and there is a font size slider for something might be too small or too large for my preference. The audiobooks are nice so you can select by chapter which I would say is the bare minimum, all in all nothing too flashy. There are some issues I have with the app, mainly the way it laid out and organize. The very first thing I noticed was that there wasn’t any way to filter by language. This can make it very difficult to find the right version of the book you would like especially if you might’ve accidentally acquired a book of the wrong language you were looking for. Just having a universal selector for what you would like would be nice. Another thing that I noticed in the main page was the sort by universe section. This it’s pretty self-explanatory it just lets you sort by the different Warhammer ip’s, however, I would like you to be further up on the main page as it is currently on the very bottom. While being able to sort by universe is nice, I’m a bit disappointed that this is the only way to sort. It would be nice if I could sort by faction and/or by book series. One other way I would like for them to filter by would be by type of literature, like anthologies, collections, trilogies, novels, novella’s, short stories, and so forth. One last thing that is missing that I find is absolutely crucial the ability to bookmark both the e-books and the audiobooks, frankly, this is a cardinal sin of the app and should get fixed immediately. In the end, I hope to see the app itself improve, and I do see myself using it in the future if it does.
  • It hasn’t crashed yet

The app is responsive and hasn’t crashed yet. Now onto the issues. The search features are horrible with only title and author support. Even then it is retuning results for books in German and french even after I went into the settings disable them from being shown. There is no way to remove a book from you library this is relevant when you have downloaded a german language version by accident and dont want to be confused. The array of curated lists is lacking and only includes setting and series. I would like to see faction and genre.
  • Very weak application

There’s no subscription service and the prices of the audiobook versions are absurd. Audible is still significantly cheaper for those, also titles are regularly displayed in other languages without a language preference which is just weird. Overall, I’ll just order or buy the physical books still, or continue with audible
