  • Games workshop is scum

The owners are greedy deceitful, conniving, and manipulative. This game releases new models and over powers them in game to promote sales. They are constantly looking for more and more ways to make the game pay to play after the models are already over priced. Must pay a subscription to use the app, then you must’ve also purchased a hardback cover book in person to use a single use code to be able to see the rules for armies as they come out. Please use any free website that puts their information out publicly rather then use this app
  • Getting Worse

The app for Age of Sigmar has gotten worse for the third edition in a row. Rules are difficulty to find and warscrolls are now locked behind purchasing a battletome, meaning you have no idea what your opponent’s stuff does or how to help new players with their rules. The game is fun, but this app is a serious drawback.
  • Slow to Update

Rules updates are slow to show up on the app. Why aren’t they ready to go when the information is released?
  • Good app

The app does what it needs to do. Bugs are handled on time and you get the information you need at your hand.
  • Easy to use

Nice to look at, easy to build lists and find units and rules. Would be nice to see stats of armies who already have battle tomes for planning new army purchases. But I get trying to sell the books.
  • The pay wall is ruining what could be a good app

The app was good when it first launched. Additional features like Realmgate made playing the game easier, but as battletomes get released the app is getting worse. Requiring a code to see the warscrolls is just awful for the game and pushes folks to piracy and alternative sources. Having a designer complain about it at the World Championships and have to go and find a Battletome to answer a rules question is just embarrassing. I’ve been cheated (either intentionally or not) because I can’t view my opponent’s Warscrolls countless times. What am I even paying for? Sorry to say, but the app is a joke and it’s not worth paying for. Use an alternative like List Bot or Wahapedia.
  • The old app was better in every way

This is a direct port of the 40K app, just reskinned for AoS and it’s terrible. AoS’s 3rd edition app was great, accessible, and much more intuitive. The new paywall structure is an additional level of insult on top of injury. If we already buy the product and books, we should not need to pay an additional service fee to utilize the app’s list builder, such as it is. It’s an obvious cash grab and sad for a company so successful to stoop that low for a few extra bucks. The sad part is the designers probably agree with all of us who aren’t happy with their product, but the decision was forced on them from a director or exec who wouldn’t hear any word against it.
  • Ridiculously overpriced

Really? You can’t even look at some warscrolls now without paying for the book? I’m paying $60 a year for warhammer+ because you can’t make more than ONE list unless you pay for that. And you can’t even look at warscrolls for that price. Ridiculous. Every other game has free rules. Warhammer is only kept alive because of the models but this is getting out of hand.
  • App is unusable

Since the most recent update I am unable to make a list in the app. I pay a $70 yearly subscription to be able to use this feature and it does not work. It also deleted all my previous data in the app so nothing is usable.
  • To many clicks and paywalls

Previous editions the warscrolls were free and you could make as many army lists as you wanted. Now warscrolls are locked behind a paywall and unless you are a Warhammer+ subscriber you cannot have more than one. Finally you have to too many clicks on a scroll to get to the rules.
