Warhammer 40,000: The App

The app functions well. I have some minor issues with it but it works. What I now have an issue with us paying $60 a year for the Warhammer+ subscription and then $50 a codex to access all of those rules including the data sheets that were free when 10th launched. We were given access to all the data sheets and one detachment per army and all the combat patrol rules. Now with the Tyranids codex launched GW removed all access except for combat patrol rules. They should have left what was given freely at first and placed the new detachments behind the paywall.

Information is generally updated quickly. Having the subscription is worth the price. I’ve had little issues with the app other than being forced to buy additional codexes to have access to army rules and datasheets.

So I have to pay for the models, and every book, and pay a monthly fee to use it? Absolutely absurd

Solid app that I use while playing but I wish that GW would allow use to just buy digital versions of the Codex at a reduced price.

I spend hours building army lists and looking up units. Just wish you got every armies info with the subscription. Feel like if I’m paying monthly for the app I should be able to experiment with other armies to see if I want to buy them.

As if Games Workshop wasn’t ripping the consumer off enough, they have an army app that you can subscribe to only to find you receive no true benefits at all. I thought the whole point of subscribing to this service was that you get all army data sheets, but nope. I was very wrong. You subscribe and do not receive any type of new updated Codexes. Instead, what GW says what you need to do is to buy the codex as well. Games Workshop needs to take a page from Para-Bellum Games because there Conquest App has all rules of every single army for free and actually changes stats and adds special rule when making upgrades. GW should be embarrassed for this application because it is the biggest waist of time and money. Executives at HQ should resign in disgrace for their constant price increases and schemes to make more money off of the international consumer for a bunch of painted plastic. Shameful.

I don’t really play this game often but this app is kinda pointless other then for the base rules. The subscriptions to the app allows you to build more then one army which is redundant when I can just wright it down on paper. To make this better I suggest for the subscription to allow for access to all features and codex’s on this app. Otherwise I don’t see why anyone would want to pay for it. I’ll add 4 stars should they add in that feature.

This app was 5* on release, but as every new physical book comes out they lock those sections unless you purchase.

Overall, the app is great. The IT team maintaining this app is horrible An application like this should provide updates quickly,when updates are made. GW technology team get your act together.

This is my go to app for all my 40K games. I have everything I need all in one place.
