  • Screens too slow and bright. Level cap is a tragedy.

    1) this is a sleep app. Why is every screen bright white or bright blue. Bright blue light is known to negatively impact sleep. Even with my darkness down I’m blinded trying to feed my Snorlax before bed.. 2) every morning: see sleep cycle, see sleep score, see sleep style, take pictures of Pokémon, view pictures and confirm, feed Pokémon cookies, view the Pokémon you fed, view it AGAIN to see its abilities, see summary page, see professor’s acknowledgement for sleeping, THEN FINALLY GET TO THE MAIN SCREEN WITH YOUR CAMPSITE. ITS LIKE 5 MINUTES WHEN IT COULD BE 1. THEN you finally get to collect berries/ingredients and feed Snorlax (a process which take about 2 more minutes if you feed manually to get best dish scores). For a game meant to make sleep tracking fun, it makes waking up an absolute nightmare. 3) I’ve been playing for about 6 months. Casually. Not paying for anything. I feed Snorlax about 1.5 / 3 meals per day. I basically only log in at night before bed, and then speed through the morning stuff (see #2). I did a FULL TEAM change about 3 months ago after the Entei event. In just 3 months, I’ve leveled up my ENTIRE TEAM TO LEVEL 50, with MAX ABILITIES. CASUALLY. In 3 months. The game has been out for over a year. WHY IS THERE STILL A LEVEL CAP. You can see what new ingredients and abilities your Pokémon will get up to level 100 but you can never get there. Shameful. Imagine capping your most loyal players’ only incentive to play. 4) did I mention staring into headlights every night before bed? P.S. artwork is absolutely beautiful and it did help my sleep for a period of time. P.S.S. I’d love to update my review to 5* once the morning routine is faster, the lights are dimmer, and the level cap is removed.

I love this game, but it could use some more features and also I wish it took less time to go through the research after sleeping.

My favorite Pokemon experience. Excellent gameplay and esp. appreciate the Pokemon color decisions. Aesthetically amazing.
  • Pokemon Sleep?

I love this game but I’ve been using it for a month now and I don’t think it has ever accurately tracked my sleep. I’m talking sometimes it says I only sleep 3 hours when I get a minimum 7 hours sleep a night. I’ve tried using my phone and even upgraded to a Pokemon go plus+, which may have made tracking worse. Don’t even get me started on adding a missed sleep log..Am I the only one ?

The app and the pokemon go plus+ do not track sleep very well. Its already hard enough for me to sleep so when I get a good amount of sleep 7-8 hours, the app says it couldn’t track part of it and subtracts time from my sleep and my score which effect everything in game. Really makes it frustrating and not worth it to keep the app. All the things in the app are just there for micro transactions. It’s honestly a money trap.

  • SLOW & CLUNKY

For an app that’s meant to be used right before bed and as soon as you wake up, it’s WAY too bright. I don’t want my eyes dried out in the morning and I definitely don’t need that bright screen waking me up every night which it does. Not to mention the fact that there are 24 different loading screens that all take for f’n EVER to tap through. The last thing I wanna do is waste time looking at frivolous animations before bed or just after waking up. Too many screens to tap through and too many animations. Please update the quality of life of this app or I will be deleting it. I don’t like spending as much time as I am on this app that has little to no reward. If it stays this clunky and slow forever I WILL be deleting this app and never touching it again. Waste of time.
  • Sleep tracker needs improvement

This is a fun Pokemon game, but there are problems with the sleep tracker function. It only tracks a person as being asleep when they have their first deep sleep, which for some people is in the middle of their sleep time. I can sleep for 8 hours, but have the game only give me credit for 4. You can start the sleep mode and leave the room for 20 minutes or so to get it to think you are in a deep sleep so it will start working, but we should not have to cheat to get the game to work right.

I enjoy this game a lot, but one thing really bugs me. I’m a heavy sleeper, and a lot of the time the app decides to ignore half of my sleep and give me half the points I’ve earned. I think the app would be much better without this feature.
