Uber’s 1099 is for the amount Uber collected not the amount the driver was paid. In Hawaii that means the drivers pays general excise tax (5%) on more than actual earnings.

Every time I have an issue with this app, it’s with the money I EARNED. First few times I was noticing I wasn’t getting paid for doing jobs and I got on the phone with the rep and he went into this whole explanation about how your payment gets broken up throughout the day. Mind you that’s not what any of the workers are under the impression of. In my head I’m thinking I’m doing a job I get that money and if I need that money, I can take that money but no sometimes you’ll finish a job and the money is not even there yet. My final straw happened today. You have the option to be able to instant. When Transfer your money out instant there’s a fee. I always collect my money this way, but I finished my job last night and waited to collect my money because my tips weren’t processed all the way. When I woke up, I was expecting and planning on having that money and being able to instant transfer it, but the app chose to do its own thing and now I have to wait 3-4 days before I see that money. I’m broke and cannot start my day. I needed that instant transfer. I would’ve done it when I finished, but like I said my tip processed and I thought I could just wait and get all the money I earned. My issue with this app it’s always playing with my money.

Uber in February dropped fare pay even crazier !! No more surge pay !! SoFi Stadium no more $25 base pay anymore !! And no surge for that huge event also !! This is the first time Uber didn’t Trigger surge pay !!! I cancelled all Uber rides offer. Uber in 2026 start to pay $2.40 per trip in Los Angeles. It was $3 minimum. And Uber drop UberX prices to $2 per mile for riders so drivers will get even worse fare now !!! And Uber price up for Uber Black like $5~7 per mile. Uber charged rider $17 for 3 miles and give driver $3 ? What a joke ??? Uber took over 80% of fare. And give driver 20% less ?! Uber is doing worse !!! By the way don’t trust heat map !! Heat map is a huge scam. I stayed heat map for a long time not even give me 1 trip offer !!! You will only able to earn gas money !!! You can not earn money on Uber. What happened on The Kia forum ??? A lot of riders request but Uber didn’t trigger surge pay and area Extremely disappointed !!! Wasting my 3 hours waiting and cancel over 200+ trips and wasting my 50 miles gas. Uber why are you do that ? It is not funny at all ! You ruined the concert. You broke drivers and riders !! Uber pay rate is extremely low start from 2025 !!! Surge pay period is too short !! It disappear when you arrive. Waste a lot of gas, time, energy and trust !! Uber now pay $1 per mile which is too low !! I was able to get $2~$3 per mile. Now you don’t have any chance to get that rate anymore !! Uber is now take 80% fares and give drivers 20% or less. How can Uber legally doing this business ??? Uber on Saturday busy hours still paying $1 per mile. It is why customers cannot find drivers.

How yall give the delivery increase ur cancellations rate and still the compensate u for ur time and when u go to support all they going to do is tell us to cancel as a driver.

Frequent failures. When you work with a promotion, you may not be paid for it.The support service does not help in solving problems with the application.

Driving for Uber is less reliable than sports gambling. The app constantly misleads its drivers to complete trips, even if the cost does not cover the gas/milage. Most drivers make less than minimum wage. Disgusting.

Cheating drivers out of money ALL THE TIME. Most of the ppl that use this app have pigeonholed themselves into a position where they pretty much have to accept any policies/rules/or regulations that they come up with. Drivers are victim to it EVERY DAY like i was

This app is pure piece of glitches. It is not problem if there was nice support. But it doesn’t. This app support is the most useless on this planet. They failed again and again to fix even simple things. If I got something really bad- good luck. You will fighting with support half year to finally get fix it. Or half year just partially fix a issue
