I have used Uber many times for rides but this is the first time I have ever used Uber Eats! I’m hungry and this seems super convenient so let’s do it! I am a senior citizen and I don’t see myself as lazy, but I’m hungry now and I don’t feel like cooking. Lol.

I ordered food at 11:40pm and still had not received it by 1:15am. I contract my driver to find out my order was made and ready but due to a restaurant not fulfilling another order- my food had not been delivered an hour after the previous 30 minute wait time. My only help options were do cancel my order or receive $7 off my $45 order- expecting me to pay way too much for cold food. I had worked a 10 hour day and simply wanted to eat food and go to bed. I never write reviews for anything but I have never been more dissatisfied.

  • Beware the “Discount” That Costs You More

I used Uber Eats’ BOGO promotion expecting to save money. Instead, I paid nearly $60 for a teriyaki bowl. Here’s the math that never added up: my subtotal was $54.36 Customer service confirmed a $21.90 discount was applied, which should have brought me to roughly $32 before fees. Yet my final charge came out to nearly $58. No clear explanation. No accountability. Just a $26 gap that apparently disappeared into “fees and taxes.” When I pushed back, support recycled the same generic script rather than actually engaging with the discrepancy. It wasn’t incompetence, it felt deliberate. The real issue isn’t the fees themselves. It’s the lack of transparency. A promotion that promises savings while quietly erasing them through backend charges isn’t a deal, it’s a design. For what I paid, I could have sat down at a nice restaurant or ordered a quality steak dinner and had a genuinely good experience. If you use Uber Eats promotions, calculate your final total before you confirm the order. Don’t assume the discount you see is the savings you’ll get. Lesson learned, the expensive way.

I wanted to add a little bit more money to the tip, so I went to edit tip and it didn't edit the tip, but it added to the tip. That needs to be changed to "add to tip" instead of "edit tip"

They don’t have support anymore, they upcharge the fee and they can’t even provide basic support, and I had many items missing and no refunds. Insane
