I download the Safari Extension app and it does not show in the extensions tab under preferences. I tried restarting Safari & reinstalling the Last Pass Extension App to no avail. I am running Monterey 12.7.6
  • Bad Transition - Makes Safari Unusable

Since LastPass dropped the full app and moved to the extension exclusively, the consistency has been absent in all aspects of use. When installing, it makes me CONSTANTLY sign back in to my account, the ‘remember password’ option does NOTHING. I have to log in Daily, and if I use multiple browser profiles while I have over 20 of for my MSP work, I need to re-log into the extension when I change profiles and when changing back I have to re-sign in AGAIN. Autofill never works consistently, and after 6 hours it will stop autofilling on sites. If I leave Lastpass signed out because I’m tired if the nonsense, it will start messing with Safari and fully prevent any page from loading and just hangs indefinitely. I have to restart my MacBook every two days in order to avoid my browser from locking up.

Really wanted to switch to Safari as my main browser, but I cannot make it work with LastPass. It it just frozen most of the time. Ext does not work consistently.

I recently switched from Windows to Mac (rather, I added a Mac and still use the Microsoft Surface). I have used LastPass since inception on multiple platforms and devices but never before on a Mac. When I read the reviews I initially balked but, unwilling to switch to a different password manager, I went ahead and installed it in Safari. It works just fine for me. I can open up all of the sites that I usually frequent. No issues. Works just like it does in Edge for Windows.

Classic case of what what working being replaced for something broken. Could not hate it more and lost my MacBook Air app. It’s like the developers are trying to tank the company

For months now I have had problem with saving or updating passwords on my browsers (safari and chrome). The browser extension doesn't work to update things in LP, only to send passwords to the fields. I'm on Sonoma 14.7.1 (I cannot update to Sequoia)

I have been using this service and the application for a few years. Until the recent separation from GoTo this service worked fine. Now it's super annoying and the application is terrible. It no longer works the way it used to and most of the way I access my credentials now is manual. It is far less productive than in the past and I'm looking for a new solution to manage my credentials, this one is more frustrating than helpful.

It will work for one day, and then the next day I have to uninstall and reinstall it. It would be funny if it wasn’t infuriating.
  • Does not perform well

Always have to log in when I shut the cpu down. Try to open the app to see what sites I’ve added and it opens a page to tell me to open Safari Extensions. Doesn’t say Settings which is where you need to go. After following the instructions it is apparently already done because the “Always Allow on Every Website” doesn’t show up anymore but it still opens this window telling me what to do.
