Needs camera permission but doesn’t request it

Installed and logged in fine but when it goes to scan my palm, it needs camera access. But when it links to the settings, there is no camera permission request to grant. So it’s useless as I can’t scan my palm.
Credit Card Declined

Used the Amazon One app in-store at Whole Foods yesterday (Dec. 27, 2025). Setup the app prior to my visit and scanned both palms and linked my default credit card.
At a Whole Foods self-checkout register, I scanned my purchase items and then scanned my palm successfully which then linked my Amazon Prime account. However, my credit card was declined. A manager tried to assist but couldn’t figure it out. I ended up needing to tap my physical credit card (successfully) which was the same exact card that was declined by Amazon One.
Manager suggested using a manned-register next time as they get more information on the reasons why cards are being declined. Will give that a shot next time.
So far, Amazon One is a nice concept but doesn’t work like it was designed to work. I did call my credit card company to see if there was any reason for my card being declined and they said did not decline my card and that the issue must be with the Amazon One app.
The recognition never works

It’s a shame for whoever worked on this feature. Not functioning at all
Agreed. Pointless

You still have to use the card. And it will decline perfectly good cards. Pass

Seriously, the I consent button doesn’t work. Start hiring at least not the worst app devs.
Amazing!

I’ll repeat: AMAZING!
Follow the directions and you’ll be good to go - and will echo my reaction.
Works great, if you follow the directions-locations need to be updated

The program works great, if you read and follow all of the instructions in the app. One plus would be a short video or instructions on how far to hold your palm from the One device in the store, the first time took a bit.
Knocked off two stars because they do not appear to be keeping the locations list in the app up to date, it doesn’t list a While Foods near us that has been there for years (Amazon says all Whole Foods have Amazon One), and still has the Federal Way, WA Amazon Fresh listed, but it permanently closed more than two and a half months ago. Bad location info is worth two stars to me, since outside of registration, the location finder is the most important.

Initially signed up to use my credit card in store with no problem, but I need the app to link it to my Prime account. The app keeps sending me in circles telling me I have an account, asking me to verify my account, asking me to scan my palm, telling me I have an account, asking me to verify my account, asking me to scan my palm, telling me I have an account…
