While I have fun sometimes playing the game the flower planting is beyond confusing. It just doesn’t work the same way every time and feels very random. The ability to get different pikmin is also more difficult than it has a right to be for a walking game. The mushroom battles are very stagnant and you hardly get any tickets to be able to fight more. It really makes you feel like you can’t complete any of the challenges without giving Niantic/Nintendo money.

I hate this dev team. They’re terrible at making games and get negative reviews deleted. They will constantly get their little grubby hands all over this game and make it terrible. I hope you foreclose on your homes

I never really got into Pokémon GO past the hype that lasted a few weeks past the launch window, but seeing a version of it centered on my favorite Nintendo property had me instantly falling in love. Unfortunately, the clunky UI and arbitrary limits clearly created just to drive the player to purchase microtransactions — I had to pay 2 dollars because I grew too many Pikmin, seriously? And don’t even get me started on the daily mushroom battle limits that require you to pay if you end up wanting to help more than two friends a day with mushroom battles). My point is, some of these systems are so stupidly limited and the idea that you should have to pay as often as the game asks you to is such an obvious cash-grab on Niantic & Nintendo’s parts. But, then, why do I keep playing? Because, honestly, Pikmin GO is still a wonderfully charming little game. Between the daily mood journal that lets you stick memories and accomplishments to a calendar so you can look back on your history with the app, to the chance to name your Pikmin whatever and forge friendships with people around the world, Pikmin GO offers an experience I’ve yet to find anywhere else, and does as much with a consistently adorable, flower-fueled aesthetic. My advice? Play Pikmin GO, but be prepared to drop at least a few dollars as you start to brush up against limits that are only able to be overcome through immense grinding or microtransactions. This game is friendly to anyone willing to give it a go, but parents and those trying to save a buck would be smart to be wary of the app’s tendency to stick prompts to siphon funds from its players between flower trails and pretty postcards.

I really love this game and it motivates me to walk but what annoys me is when there are events that require me to plant a certain flower and I don’t have it. I wish there was like a skip or bypass option on atleast one of the missions or if I could pay a couple of coins to pass it! Otherwise, I still love the game!

Thank you Niantic and Nintendo for Pikmin Bloom!I’ve been walking with Pikmin Bloom since this app first came out. I’m extremely grateful for how much this app motivates me to get out and walk! It definitely improves my mental health in the best way! I am in love with the lifelog feature! I would love to request two features for the lifelog. 1. The ability to search entries by words 2. Room for more pictures for every entry Once again, thank you so much to everyone who made Pikmin Bloom a reality! It means so much to me.
