I like it but there’s bugs like I was trying to join but went I logged in Pokémon go it told to walk closer even when I had a raid pass

I downloaded campfire when I first heard about it years ago….I couldn’t access the app because the release done by the development team was a complete dumpster fire. I wasn’t able to access it for about a year. When I finally was able to access it, I created an account and used it regularly for about 6 months. At that point I would’ve given 3.5/5 stars as a rating……until my Pokemon Go account was logged out automatically because I didn’t play for a few months. Upon trying to log back into Pokemon Go I realized I had forgotten my password. I had this happen twice before over the years and I’ve always been able to navigate a simple password reset with no issue…but Campfire? My god. The app encourages you to link it to other accounts you have (google, Apple, facebook etc) That is where everything fell apart. I linked it to my Facebook and Apple account and ever since doing so the campfire app doesn’t recognize my pokemon go account as existing so I can’t use if for anything. Everything I’ve tried has not worked and I’ve tried all the account reset, unlink and relink, delete both apps and reinstall etc. I’ve done EVERYTHING. I even reached out to their useless chat bot for support and never heard anything back after 4 attempts over the course of a week. The reason this app gets no attention is because it’s not loaded with micro transactions. What tragic state of the world we live in. If you get lucky and the app works for you then by all means don’t waste the good luck but rest assured you will need luck to use this app. Just don’t get used to because any day your campfire app may just decide to not recognize what you’re using it for and you’ll never be able to access it ever again.

Two of my kids play Pokémon go, and I foolishly thought it would be best to set them up as child accounts. Well, now they can’t join Campfire due to age restrictions, even if were comfortable with it and asked to grant permission. Now they miss out on meet up rewards all their friends can get just because I can’t permit or override this restriction. Great app… except for preventing kids (ages 11 and 12) from playing on an even playing field.

I expected campfire to be a small extension to pokemon go so I can find more raids but DID NOT EXPECT THIS!! Easier to invite and find more players to take down raids. A bit hard to figure out at first but very useful to raid with. Only wish we can also host dynamax and g-max but we can only do it through meet-ups which is a cool alternative to meet pokemon go players in real life

Its a fine app, i just think its a way better system to copy the scarlet/violet online raid set up where you can just join a raid group online without adding random friends. You can keep the pass system but a drop in/drop out raid system should be implemented

App would be much better if you could host a shadow raid since you can invite to them now. Also, it would be nice to be able to tell if a raid is weather boosted. Communications could use a huge upgrade. Why we can only use preset basic communications is very outdated. I think the app has been a massive help, but it is still very lacking.

I have redownloaded this app 3 times and whenever i open it it tells me to log in, I do and then it shows me a white screen for all eternity

I’ve yet to be able to even do remote raids. Because somehow it REFUSES to acknowledge the fact that I downloaded Pokemon go. I join a group and it says “you have to download pogo to use this feature.” I press get and it sends me IN THE GAME and yet I still can’t use basic features. If you also get this bug, just delete this and use literally anything else.

I can’t connect my Pokémon go and campfire app together and it shows I don’t even have the Pokemon go

It doesn’t make sense to me how my group can fill up with 3/5 then other groups start filling up and I sit at a gym for 30 minutes. Make your matchmaking prioritize the oldest lobby first so people aren’t wasting their time.
