  • Missing Features

Why can Mac users not have all the features available to Windows users. Most notably, there is no way to create a template or even transfer a label to the print as a custom template. There is no way to link two text boxes, so that text repeat and changes to one text box changes all the others. This is useful for cable wraps. These feature exist on the Windows version of the editor but not on the Mac version. Brother - please update this software, so that we can use all the features of the label printer that we purchased from you!

I have had my P700 for a long time and enjoyed using in on may older MacBook Pro. I upgraded recently to a new MacBook Pro and was very dismayed since the new OS didn’t have drivers for my P700. I would have to fire up my old computer just to make a label. Then I found the Brother P-touch Editor Version 5.3.2. I love it! It is much more user friendly and works on my new Mac. We use Brother labelers at work. They are great. I am a fan forever. Regards John S

I have used the P-Touch Editor for many years and really love it. The labels are beautiful and you never run out of ink!
  • Doesn’t work

I purchased a new very expensive printer to print 1.2” shrink tubing but the software doesn’t recognize the media. It’s not one of the options from the drop down menu and if you click check media it just returns no media installed error. At the price of a $400 printer and the media cassette $50 for it not to work. I have to return it and find another solution from another company.

I am super disappointed to learn once I transferred from a PC to a Mac that the software doesn’t totally convert despite the literature saying otherwise. I am unable to get my fonts and other valuables. NOT ACCEPTABLE BROTHER.

The interface is not user-friendly. There is no tutorial or other readily available help on how to use. I eventually figured out the basics through trial and error, but still not confident that I can use it to its full potential.
  • Not easy to use
