The app works, but the customizing/editing features are limited
  • Rarely works

This app rarely detects my Q810W printer. The app usually reports “communication error” instead of printing. Restarting the printer or phone makes little difference. Printing from a desktop works every time. So does the Android version of the app.”

My pantry was full of various flours, sugars, nuts etc and I had to taste each container to determine which was which. Hand written labels never seem to last. This printer has allowed me to clearly print the contents. I love it.
  • Portrait mode missing (or well hidden)

Very hard to use unless you all you want a simple one-line label. Portrait layout is missing or well hidden, there's no "Layout" option like there is in the PC version. I don't understand the high ratings, this feels like unfinished alpha-test software.

I bought this label maker new. The tape is not cheap and this thing jams almost every time I try to print anything and cuts the label in half almost every time. I have cleaned it and still not having any luck
  • Hard to figure out

It took a Mechanical Engineer and a 20 something over an hour to figure out how to work this. Good grief
  • Absolutely unlovable,, overprints itself, double prints when you try

Yup, doesn’t automatically center text, doesn’t have just a basic label maker, severely overcomplicated! It’s absolutely painful to try to just make a simple label, I’ve wasted so much tape I can’t keep track of it anymore. And the F$&’ing thing wasn’t cheap. I needed a label so badly this week that I actually dug if out of the garbage. Several hours later I sit here asking myself why did I do that, you’re not a Masochist, or are you?? Hmm

When it is working it is excellent unfortunately it takes longer to get a successful connection then to print anything.

I just can’t seem to find a regular label for making a 3 line label that’s not a knockout.
  • Brother Quality with Poor Software

I pay more for brother equipment because I expect more. My big complaint is their software is not nearly as user-friendly as it could be. There is absolutely no reason this company can’t have polished software to go with fine hardware. Is the company suffering from complacency? Is they think the cost is too high?
