    This software crashes my new M4 MBP every time and forces to restart the computer completely.

  • App Doesn’t Recognize Scan on Printer

    This app does not detect my printer even though I can print from other apps. When you click Machine Scan Settings it tells you to restart but this winds up being an endless loop. Upon restart the app detects the printer/scanner for about 5-10 seconds, if that, then nothing.

    The print function works fine but when trying to use this scan program, the program lists my printer as offline.

    Used to work great, now it won’t recognize my machine at all. I can print to it just fine, connection is great, this app just always shows the machine offline, and their support is a joke. An hour hold and they dont know how to fix anything.

  • macOS 15: Slow/broken scanning

    As of the newest macOS release, my ADS-1250W is barely usable. Documents go through the scanner fine, but the software is extremely slow and unreliable when it comes to creating the file. This software is really frustrating to use.

  • Buggy, wasted hours, and Preview is better

    I downloaded Brother setup, drivers, and used their setup process. I could print but not scan over WiFi. After two extended calls to support and more time fiddling, I deleted Bother iPrint and Scan, and connected to the printer using it's IP address which the support guy showed me buried in the printer setup menu tree. Preview works better for scanning and anything works better for printing. I am left with the impression the Brother rushed this to the market without testing, or just doesn't care about consistent reliable software. Or both. I like the printer, though.

    It has very little functuality and is virtually useless. 1. It shows my printer as offline, although it still prints from outside of this app. 2. It only prints PDF and JPEG files from within the app. 3. It provides no toner status.
