It will not take a picture of the webpage it will only take a picture of the desktop behind it. If I go into full screen the tool completely disappears behind the webpage.

Glad it still works in El Capitan.
  • Very useful if you setup your system preferences properly

Apple has amped up it's security and you must setup your system preferences to get this app to work. Here are the steps: 1. Use the Apple icon on the top left of the screen to select “System Preferences” and open them. 2. Click on "Security & Privacy” (second row right most icon). (If you don’t see the row and columns of preferences, click on the icon of three rows of four dots, Show All.) 3. Select "Screen Recording” from the list on the left side of the window. (You may need scroll down to find it.) 4. Check the box to the left of “Precise Screenshot 2”. (You may need to scroll down to find it.) When I did this, I was suprised that I did not have to click on the lock icon to unlock this preference screen before I made the changes. You may have to unlock before the above will work. If you unlock, be sure to leave with it locked. I was successful capturing things visible on my dual monitors.
  • great for precise screenshot (just like it says!)

1-18-21 update I want to correct my previous review: I have this working now on my MacBook Pro with the M1 chip. There was a permission setting I had not configured. This may be something new in Big Sur, and most my apps have been pointing out Systems Prefs settings that needed activating, but Precise Screenshot did not. However it's working well now and I still find it to be just what I need. 5 stars again My workflow includes taking a lot of screenshots for annotation. Before I found this app, this was a tedious process to get the right sized shot. having to fiddle around with the command-shift-4 command. This app has saved me so much time. The developer is very responsive to input as well.

I don't like it. It is not self explanatory and I am not a tech person. I got it to work one time. Just once. Other attempts were for things i wanted to save, partial screens or full screen, and all it gives me is the pretty picture on my desktop. What am i supposed to do with that? i don't need a copy of it. I want the info on the screent that I opened and am looking at. But I get the desktop screen beneath it and it is pretty. But useless. How about the top screen with the useful info?

This app is great so far. Love the features. My only gripe is that is doesn't seem to work correctly when spread across dual monitors.
