Find out which components are getting hot (and potentially overheating), turn up the fan speeds to cool down your Mac, get notifications for temperature alerts along with many other fantastic features. Plus, see if any sensors or fans are defective with the built-in hardware diagnostics.

  • From M1 to M5

I just upgraded from an M1 which I pushed hard and this app did exactly what it was meant to do. I didn’t mind upgrading to pro with the amount of support this app got and the fact it just works. You can tinker with the settings and there is an excellent amount of information provided to you if you need any assistance. The fact I was able to use Time Machine and migrate from the M1 to the new M5 and all I had to do was a quick update on the app to see all of the components, with no additional cost, was a blessing in this day and age of software!

After using this for a couple of years I upgraded my laptop to a 2023 MacBook Pro with a M2 Max chip. This app no longer works and I have no response from the developer after leaving 3 requests for help. So if you have a newer computer I would not purchase this.
  • Doesn’t work and probably a trojan

The App Store version is 12 years old and they force you to download a PRO version which is probably a trojan or at the very least malware
  • Abandoned software

The current comment is literally pointing to the site where as of now the developer is selling the same software in functional form for more money. The version on the App Store is not functional at all. The worst part is they say it will upgrade to the new version for free but in testing I found that not to be the case as of the time of me posting this review.

Excellent app! This is just what I needed! I refurbed an old aluminum iMac and installed 16gb RAM and an SSD while I was working inside it. After the refurb job, I never have heard the fan running or even felt any hot or warm air leaving it's case through the vent in back. I began to wonder if I had forgotten to plug the fan back into the MB, or if the fan might not be working at all. I'm pretty sure that a completely dead fan would trigger a warning during POST, but a failing or intermittently functional fan might not. I found this app on the app store, installed it, and opened it up. The current, average and maximum fan speeds are clearly displayed at the bottom of the app window. Above the Fan Speed stats, the current temperatures for all major internal components, and the ambient temperature of the air inside the iMac case are displayed. My old iMac is running cool and silent with the fan working perfectly. Thanks for this great app, Tunabelly Software!

Showed really nothing til free upgrade--now all works. Little tricky for me somewhat new to mac to grok/understand how to move app to applications, but easy once I understood.
