  • Annoying Pop Videos

    Not everyone can watch and listen to a video when consuming news. Some prefer or have no choice but to read. Please add a user setting to NOT auto play videos and to stop these annoying popups that cover every article. Not only does this force you to…tap tap tap, eventually you close the app out of frustration and seek other sources for news. This is unfortunate because CBS was my goto for real news.

    Bring It Back! The Weather App was easy to use & worked GREAT. CBS chose to no longer support it. The replacement CBS NEWS app is AWFUL-thus all the bad reviews. We need easy to find DETAILED weather with live radar.

    Today, I turned on TV and click on your app to watch the news only to be subjected to the infamous “cookie policy with an OK OPTION ONLY”. Why subject your customer to such stupidity? You don’t need to improve my experience by curtailing my viewing options to what you think I want to watch. Why not improve the video system to match the voice. ..never matches...that would be a start to improving the viewers experience. Shame on you for subjecting your viewers to the “think tank” mentality.

    I watch on an iPad. When I change volume via my blue tooth speaker, I get 2 audios - the local station WJZ and the main CBS news. This doesn’t happen if I change volume on the iPad. Can you please fix it.

    I want to delete this app! It’s impossible to READ ANYTHING because of all the pop up ads! They just hijack the whole screen and there is no exit to get rid of it. Eventually I just lose the article all together by having to hit the back button then need to search for it again! I am done with it! It shouldn’t be that hard to open a news article and just read it!!! This is how I see it: First I get the notification which if I choose to read I click on it then I SEE the article and accompanying video at the top scroll down and start to read the first sentence then a smaller version of the video at the top pops and is blocking text I carefully X out that box then read one more sentence then Bob’s Furniture website captures the whole page with no exit back to the article so I am forced to hit the back button which takes me to CBS homepage and then I must search for the article I was TRYING TO READ! I give up! You win and I am deleting this app because I can only assume this is what you want!
