    4.4.12 for the past two days this will not load all the way and play live news. Just black screen. Have cleared all history. Deleted and redownloaded app. Nothing works.

    A news app without a search button? And worse, every time an ad runs on my iPad, the sound from a second ad plays on top of it. iOS developers, wake up

    App occasionally covers up stories with a banner telling me that I have to enable ads in order to read the news. Then it gives instructions on doing that in Safari when I am not using Safari. I use CBS’ app. Then it clears up and stops doing it after a couple of days.

    Hard to navigate. Just want live cbs morning news. All that comes up is encore. That isn’t live.

    I’ll see a story on the CBS Evening News that I REALLY like (such as “On the Road”) and would like to share it, but is it available from the app?? Usually, “NOT on your tintype”!

    Forces a video on top of the screen when trying to read the news, thereby using up 1/3 of the screen. It is very distracting and ther is no way to turn the video off.

    About a week ago the app developed a bug. When I watch last night’s evening news, when the first commercial break starts, the latest news audio runs concurrently with the adds. Then the video on the last night’s new stops but not the audio. So, the picture is frozen and both audios are running. I tried to report it in the App Store support but that link is broken. The bottom line, good news but broken app. Please fix this.

    Unfortunately, I have had to edit my previous glowing review to rant against the CBS News app update. What on this green earth happened? The previous app was great! Now I can’t exit out of the livestream without shutting the whole app down, I cannot go back to previously streamed pieces by timeline, and it’s really hard to find articles now. Whose idea was this? When something isn’t broken, you should heed that age old advice and DON’T FIX IT! But please do fix this app now as it’s pretty much unusable. UPDATE: There is a glitch now where the shows cannot be viewed in full screen mode on the iPad. It’s just black after the first few minutes. To view one of the shows, you have to view it minimized, which is a smaller view than your mobile phone. Glitchy glitchy! UPDATE APRIL 2025: I cannot get through a full episode of FTN because the commercial breaks glitch the playback and create an ad overlap. Then it switches to 60mins playback without prompting. I will try my luck with finding the episode on YouTube, but those tend to be in clips rather than full episodes like MTP or TWWGS.
