  • Game is not fair or truly random

Once again saying the same thing again since you guys don’t listen or just delete my review. I play paper magic often and it’s real and random. I play this game to test cards before buying but seriously??? Nothing is random about this game. Not the cards you draw, not the opponents you verse and definitely not the packs you open. Don’t waste your time playing this trash of a game and definitely don’t waste your money on it either. Stick to real part magic and friends and LGS if anything. This game is absolutely worthless at this point and I’ve had enough

Wanted to check this out since I’m thinking about playing MTG again after 19 years hiatus, but this app plain old doesn’t work. I download on a device that has over 50GB available space and when I got to start the app, it says “Not enough disk space”…
  • Magic the Red Gathering, everyone else can go home

This is an inaccurate rating for how the app works. It works well and at 5 stars. The way the app has a predictability of when you need a card it is more than 50% showing up the turn you die. You also will win more than 50% of your next match if you hit a sad face as well when getting ran over by 2 standard red decks that take zero talent to build or play shows up your first two matches in explorer event. Overall, I don’t know where mtg goes from here. Red has broken the game. Red now has the best of green and blue along with accelerated speed with prowess and the stupid +2/+0 for the idiotic slingshot bird. Maybe the next set it has life gain and after that it gets discarded abilities. Furthermore, with how cheap cards are the future becomes a luck of who goes first and the games will end in 2-3 turns. The only way to fix this is ban the 2 cheapest cards of all time, monetary swiftspear and best/worst common ever made, monster rage which brings giant growth from green with a dash of trample and “why don’t we leave a +1/+1 counter on it”. Better yet put that on a mouse that deals damage when it does and fling it for 1 red mana and we can have a 1/1 mouse deal 9 damage by turn 2 without any issue. A new format that removes standard along with a bam on some of these cards in historic and expanded may help the game be a game of 5 colors without every nerd pulling a red deck from online and grinning while they win with it in their grandma’s basement.

The game is great for learning the basics of MTG, but beyond that the game is not great. There are too many algorithms that determine what decks you play against or whether or not you will win or lose a game. The “meta” is so curated that it’s almost impossible to enjoy the game. For example, if you put a card that negatively affects graveyard reliant decks, you will NEVER play against a graveyard reliant deck. Another example, I put a card called Back to Nature into a red/green deck and when I play that deck, I NEVER play against enchantment heavy decks. I will never put any money into this game until the algorithms are changed to be more fair to everyone.
  • Does not let me play the way I want to play.

Brawl is unfortunately nothing like commander and there’s no way to have more than one opponent. Plenty of cards, even new ones that I have physically aren’t available

  • RIGGED GAME

0 star game, have fun drawing a nearly impossible 6-7-8 lands or only creatures you can’t use in a row when you win too much. Happens so much that the odds are 100% it’s not if it’ll happen it’s when. Rigged to make you want to spend money, zero part of the card draw in this game is realistic, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
  • Terrible for Actually Learning the Game

It would honestly be better to learn the game from either a friend who picked the game up or by watching videos of people playing on YouTube. The tutorial levels put the absolute bare minimum 5 minute explanation of how to play into 4 battles that forces you follow a strict script. The only exception was the 5th battle where it freed the baby bird from its nest before it hatched. It literally took me a tutorial to beat the tutorial boss where the first battles were painfully easy. And besides the absolute bare minimum that the tutorial battles struggle to teach you, you literally don’t learn any other mechanics to the game. I literally seen someone on Reddit go through the same complaint and the stuff that’s necessary to learn but not taught by the Arena game looked similar to a to-do list filled to the brim with chores. Again, just learn off a friend or a site online. Visit the game when you fully learned how to play, it’ll save you the headache.
