If I could play any prior game back from beginning to end, i could study it more carefully. Each game could be identified from a date and time stamp, and should include the number of take backs, hints, etc., as currently provided only once, ie., at the end of each game.

I absolutely love this app! As someone who is just starting out in chess, I was pleasantly surprised by how much it has helped me improve. The app offers comprehensive tutorials that break down the fundamentals of the game, making it easy to grasp even the most complex concepts. The user-friendly interface and engaging lessons keep me motivated to learn more. I can honestly say that I've become a much better player thanks to this resource. I would rate it a solid 10 out of 10!

This game is absolute garbage. I don’t mind paying for it but the fact that some of the coaching is not very good is the problem. On multiple occasions it has told me to put my queen in a spot I would leave it hanging. For example it had me put my queen where it could be attacked by a knight. I did with the coaching told me to do and for some reason it pulled its knight back. It made no sense. I re-created the match on another app, and as I played through the scenario the knight captured my queen and three moves later I was in checkmate. Sometimes it will have you do what it considers the best move but as it takes your rook, if you take his rook it will tell you that it is an incorrect move and that you should have taken it’s knight or Bishop and not do a direct trade. I understand that at certain times this is true but as it coaches you through the rest of the game you end up getting checkmated, whereas if you would’ve done the direct trade you actually would have won. Don’t believe me? Play Dr. Wolf on expert and if you lose go through the coaching scenario in which he shows you where you made mistakes and then you can play the game on from that point in the end you still lose even if you follow every option in which he tells you that that move is the best move. It’s a good game for beginners to learn but don’t count on it to teach you correct things. Also, it’s difficulties from beginner to expert are not very good. There are many times where on the beginning level computer will play moves that a normal beginner would never do and ends up check maiting you in 4 moves end it tells you better luck next time. As for teaching you how to use certain pieces to check mate, those lessons were very helpful. You can always review those if you forget.

Learning chess is something that I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve tried other apps and programs for this purpose. This is by far the best. I’ve been playing for about six weeks and actually feel like I know what I’m doing. I will likely never be a grandmaster but for now I’m pretty happy with my progress.

there’s something nice about having someone block you through a game like Chess. I had a three day trial when I first downloaded the app. And I liked how Dr. Wolf gave me tips and showed me different ways to open a match. It was when I began to play chess IRL so I let go the app but now I’m a few months off than I want to get a fresh start with Chess. This is a great app to use if you’re just now coming back to the chess. they have a bunch of tutorials for you to learn how to so how are you doing?

Learn how all pieces move and then start learning how to develop pieces and plan your attack while keeping up your defenses. A fun way to learn chess and have coaching as well. Best app I have found on chess.
  • Best Chess App PERIOD.

Downloaded a bunch of chess apps and it’s not even close. This app has a coaching feature that is absolutely amazing. You can play at different difficulty levels and get hints if needed (to help as you progress); additionally, there are small learning lessons for various tricks and strategies (I learned a lot with this feature). The other thing I love about this app vs others is the appearance—most of the other apps are cartoony or unpleasant to stare at; this app uses a wooden chessboard style, which for some odd reason gives the gameplay a more realistic feeling (idk it just does lol). Hope this helps—highly highly recommend!
