  • Great app… BUT beware of syncing across devices!!

Love the app. I have no complaints about functionality. I started using this on my iPhone and loading up recipes only to discover that to sync recipes to my MacBook or iPad (which I use in the kitchen for better visibility/screen size), I have to purchase the pro version again for each device.. MacBook, iPad.. etc. I don’t think I’ve run across that in other apps I use and I’m pretty disappointed. If I have t purchase it again, I will probably look for another app that you can use across devices with a single purchase.
  • Overly expensive to be cross-platform

I’ve already paid for the iOS app and they expect me to hand over another $29 for the privilege of using this on the desktop, with no discount? Hard pass and strong regrets for ever buying the mobile version.
  • I love this app!

This is my go to app for cooking. I use it on my home computer to capture recipes, it syncs to my iPhone for use while shopping, and to my iPad to use in the kitchen while making the recipe.

I love the app itself. BUT the fact that I had to buy a subscription for my iPhone and would need to buy a separate subscription to access my account on my Mac is atrocious.

The OCR and AI interpretation has been perfect so far. I have hundreds of recipe books and have been so frustrated trying to find recipes. This is so easy and effective, it is the perfect solution!
  • Can not sync MacBook Air with iPad Pro

I cannot sign-in on the iPad without a pop-up window insists on a 2nd charge. Restore purchase does nothing.. I have tried everything. I have spent hours checking both devices and cannot find the issue. I am signed into my Apple account with the same email. And on the same wifi. I have other apps that sync with no problem. I sent an email explaining the issue, expecting a suggestion. The response reiterated the “help” section, of which I had already read. I have come to the conclusion that they prefer to be paid twice for Apple devices.

I’ve bene using this app for more than 5 years to organize our meals, and it’s never let me down. Loading in recipes is incredibly simple, and there are a lot of customizable features to make it exactly what you want. I like that even though it’s customizable, it’s also a very simple interface - because cooking is stressful enough.
  • Beware if you want to access it on seperate devices...

I purchased the pro version on my iPhone ($20). I wanted to also access it on my Macbook. When I tried logging into my Macbook, which has the same Apple ID as my iPhone, it stated I needed to purchase the pro version ($29.99). I reached out to the company and they stated this is how it is. Although the app worked as expected, I do not support a company who forces a person to purchase seperate "pro versions" even though it is under the same Apple ID.
  • Perhaps the BEST piece of Consumer Software EVER Written

I know…Big claim. Try it! It is simple and elegant. It does everything you could want a recipe keeper to do. Not only does it take recipes from virtually any website and format it so that all of your recipes are laid out the same, you can capture from pictures, handwritten cards, our manually enter. Pictures can be added or edited and prioritized. Ingredients adjusted with a simple key stroke . Printed formats accommodate everything from cards to cookbook layouts. Even recipes that are blocked to your view on websites download to the Recipe Keeper program.
  • Easiest app for this I’ve ever used

I’ve lost track of how many recipe apps I’ve tried. All of them are various version of not very good. I want to be able to import from websites and I want to sync to multiple devices. I don’t think that’s asking a ton but apparently this is a high bar. Recipe Keeper does all of this really well. It imports from websites with 99% accuracy. Youtube and TikTok and Instagram are spottier but it has to do with how people make the videos, not really Recipe Keeper’s fault. I’ve used this for years to store my “family recipes”, the stuff we eat all the time. We can all add to it and it automatically shares with the rest of the family. It’s perfect and convenient. Last thing, no subscription fees. I pay once per device and I’m done. I love it.
