Acuity: Appointment Scheduler

I strongly recommend that people find a different scheduling app. I've used Acuity for over 10 years, but since its acquisition by SquareSpace, it keeps deterioriating. Its integration with Square (payment processor) is almost completely broken for me, to the point that I can't take payments through the app anymore. I notified customer support, and they assure me their engineers are working on it, but months later, I still can't reliably take payments in person. Logging in to the app is convoluted. As others have noted, no biometric login is possible, and the app refuses to keep users logged in. And with a recent change, you now have to enter your email twice to log in to the app. These are just a few examples among many to illustrate that what was once a reliable, flexible app has become garbage that will waste your and your clients' time.

It’s been great for years but now it keeps freezing and no one will respond from their support team. Very frustrating.

I run a mobile, small engine repair business in Virginia, and I love this app. It has helped me go from talking on the phone all day long with customers, and scheduling an appointment myself, to simply answering, and telling them to go to my website and book an appointment for me to come out. So as far as that aspect goes, I’m beyond please. One thing I would really love to see implementing in the future is a better way to take notes, and add some sort of appointment history within the clients profile, and be about to upload photos as well. But overall, solid app.

There are a few changes and updates that could be made to make an easier experience for acuity owners. Like adding percentages to add-ons as part of the payment, being able to do a quick tap pay without creating an appointment, and the ability to add more than one coupon code per transaction. I ask do not wish for my transaction fee to be apart of any discount. It should be added separately at the end of transaction. Otherwise enjoy using the app and may have a few other suggestions at another time.

The best thing since sliced bread! LITERALLY! It’s the one monthly bill I do not mind paying! 👌

Acuity and Squarespace is a huge reason why I am successful and I think their software is perfect for beginner and intermediate businesses. I highly recommend for anyone trying to pursue their dreams of being a business owner.

this app makes it so easy for my business and organization is soo key to a business it takes care of everything for him i absolutely love it so much

I need to open and close the app several times to get it to work and sometimes even doing that won’t work. It’s been like this for the 3 years that I’ve had it. No other app (except for Microsoft Power Apps) is as buggy as this. I click on buttons or try to scroll and nothing happens. It should respond to SOMETHING but it just stays frozen. I’m young, I’m not an idiot and im certainly not making this up. Please fix this. It’s incredibly annoying.

Acuity is very easy to use. And I like the simplicity of it. I like that I can publish what I want and how I want it.
