In the app the number of Followers is some weird number; in the app the number of Following is actually the number of Followers in reality; the actual number of Following doesn't appear in this app at all.

I've used tons of RSS apps over the past 12 years. This is just the best experience I've ever had. The app is clean, easy to use, and super fast. The only thing I'd wish was possible is Ad-blocker while reading full article within the app not in browser. Thank you, Ron for such a woderful app!

I wanted a nicer experience than I was getting with Vienna, and this looked like what I wanted. I was wrong. Now I see that I can't make my own smart filters. I'm forced to either view everything or allow it to move my subs around on the left pane (I HATE when software moves things on me ... maybe just me). I can't delete anything manually. I'm left to just wait for it to delte itself. I guess that means I can't archive anything in here. That's enough reason to go back to Vienna. I was looking forward to being able to sync with my ipad, but at this point I won't bother because I don't want to use this app on my mac. I'd gladly uninstall it if I could have my money back.

I've been using News Explorer on iOS since March 2018 and watched it grow. At first, it was missing some nice features, but the developer really put time into the project and it shows. It's been my only RSS reader for over a year on my iPhone & iPad. I finally decided to check it out on my mac. I didn't think I needed it on there as normally I'm checking my feeds on the go. But, it is AMAZING. I've added some longer form & image feeds to my news reading and seeing it on a bigger screen makes a ton of difference. I still use it across all my devices, and the syncing works great via iCloud. A great app that the developer should be proud of.

If you want something that is run entirely from your devices, that handles its syncing across iCloud and leaves you off the hook for relying on a third party syncing service hosting your feeds.. you'd found it. This is one of the best RSS readers I've found and having seamless sync across my devices is exactly what I want and need.

New Explorer is one of the few apps I use every day. It is a critical component of my daily news intake. The UI is beautiful, easy to use, and takes advantage of Apple's native features. My favorite feature of News Reader is that all my data is stored and synced using my iCloud account. I don't have to rely on a 3rd party service to read my feeds.

I have tried several RSS readers over the years and News Explorer is the best one I've used. Everything just works as it should. News Explorer handles articles behind paywalls on the sites I subscribe to seamlessly. It syncs across all my Apple devices perfectly. It has a beautiful as well as functional UI. I'm very happy I found News Explorer!
  • Hands Down, the BEST RSS READER!

I've tried every RSS reader on the face of the earth and, in the end, I was always disappointed with something. Then, I discovered News Explorer and it is, by far, the best. Among other things, I was looking for an app that would (1) automatically download the full article images, (2) provide an incredibly beautiful user interface (fonts, spacing, margins, images, etc.) and (3) sync with ICloud. News Explorer does all of that... and much more. Do yourself a favor and get this app. News Explorer should be the number one RSS reader in the app store!

I bought bought both the Mac & iOS apps in the believe that with iCloud syncing I could keep content in sync. Put simply this fails to work reliably, whether this the app or iCloud I don't know. Separately I have "lost" my favorite sources & twitter feeds several times in the past weeks. This app is totally unreliable. Do not waste your time or money.
