It’s like a remote control for Zwift that you can use pre-ride, during your ride, and post-ride. Zwift Companion is a great place to plan your next activity. With all the events in one place and thousands to choose from, you're sure to discover like-minded athletes who want to get fit together. You can also find and join clubs on Zwift Companion. You'll see rides chosen specifically for you based on your preferences, fitness level, and upcoming events. You can even set reminders, so you're never late for a ride. You'll also find a bunch of cool information on Zwift Companion's home screen, like the number of people currently Zwifting, as well as any friends or contacts you're following. Have a Zwift Hub smart trainer? You can also update the firmware with the Companion app. DURING YOUR RIDE With Zwift Companion, you can send RideOns, text with other Zwifters, bang U-Turns, choose between route options, and more. You can also adjust the resistance of your trainer on the fly during structured workouts, to increase or decrease intensity.     When you cannot log in and try to reset password without getting a link to reset, this is a waste! Absolute trash. Tech support was no help either.

    Recently it hasnt been connecting , so no ride ons for rider recognition. Pretty poor lately, works occasionally. No internet changes and stable connection, no changes to admin. So not a local problem.

    More > Settings > Notifications > General Notifications To turn them off. But they shouldn’t be on by default.

    Latest update removes My List which you could use to queue routes and workouts. You can still add individual workouts and routes to your list, but there’s no way to manage them e.g., reorder them. At this point, the companion app is basically just a game controller while riding for those who can’t reach their screen, which I can. If I have to plan rides in the full game there’s no point to this app. Could never register for a workout plan, see portal climbs, and more planning activities that should be in here.

    Credit is not given for all completed routes. When you start to write a message, there is no way to cancel it without quitting the Companion and restarting it. Sometimes the Companion goes to a mode as if you were looking at it when running the Zwift app. Sometime it comes to map mode and sometimes not. Otherwise great for planning rides and looking at routes and completed activities.

    I don’t know how to get it working and can’t find anything on the website about it, but once in every 10 tries the Apple Watch will show up in the game.

    The Zwift program itself is amazing. The companion app is total garbage. Good luck getting it to connect, and even if you do, it’s incredibly cumbersome to do anything other than give Ride Ons.
