App is difficult to navigate almost as if the devs do not own the product and use it themselves. Not sure but who buries key information other than non-user devs? It's a common app problem. The other thing is ecobee rarely if ever updates firmware on devices so no new features no improvements. Buyer beware.

I’ve had my ecobee for a few months not and this thing is so buggy it’s ridiculous, I purchased a smart thermostat so I can adjust the temperature in my home without having to go downstairs and I can’t because of a bug that says “server error” after doing some digging I found out this is a very common issue has been unresolved for years! At this point is just going to become a very expensive target practice.

Extremely easy to use

Okay, addendum and one less star: I’m out of town for a week and set my thermostat schedule to be “away” all week. But every time I look at the app, I see eco+ has decided someone is home and turned the temp back up. There is no one home. This defeats the whole purpose of having a programmable thermostat. Original review: I love my Ecobee, and the app works well with it, even if it’s a little clunky. The one really bizarre thing is that both the app and the thermostat are radically wrong about the outside temperature. Right now, it says it’s 49 in Chicago, when it’s actually 71! It’s like this all the time, between 10 and 20 degrees off. Luckily, this doesn’t actually affect anything in how the thermostat works. But it really should be fixed.

I don’t need to answer anymore questions than I already do. Confirmations, secretly locking me out & allowing my utility to control my hvac. This is RIDICULOUS. BRING MY OLD APP BACK OR ME & all my rentals & hotels are GONE

This app randomly stops working and it’s nearly impossible to get it working again. There’s no notice from the company nor resolution. Will have to go back to Honeywell. Beyond frustrating.

My daughter set this up for me ! Wonderful so much freedom. Great app !
