So many learning apps require you to pay to learn. Brilliant allows you to learn for free. However, if you learn for free you can only do two lessons a day. That being said, the depth and breadth of information you can learn on this app is worth trying. It helps you understand real information in bite-size Duolingo-esque lessons, which are more digestible than the courses on Alison(also worth looking at).
  • General, not niche.

Great in delivery, but it doesn’t go super in depth into anything in specific. Otherwise, very well designed.
  • Can’t trust them. A course I was in the middle of just got replaced by another one

I’m a paid customer. I was doing a course on logic that I liked. One day it just disappeared along with all my progress. Contacted support and turns out they replaced it with another course. Not cool. I believe if a paid customer was in the middle of a course and you want to replace it, offer that customer an option. Or at a very minimum notify such customer so they know what’s going on. But leaving paid customers in unknown with just something disappearing is not cool at all.
  • Almost the perfect learning app!😜

I’ve been using brilliant for a while now. It’s the perfect app for learning and makes concepts clear. However, as far as I can see, you cannot jump through a course without learning previous concepts. This is allowed only in premium, and I’m not unhappy about that. Although, I really wish the app could just test you and see how far in the course should you be learning. Brilliant is amazing, and I don’t see myself uninstalling it in the future!☺️💜
  • Fun app; isn’t very educational

My biggest complaint with this app is how it presents itself as being educational while its main focus is keeping you playing the app for as long as possible without any regard to your progress. For example: I’ve been working on the calculas section which has been great, but I still gain my daily streak regardless of whether or not I get the question correct. If I don’t understand the material, this app makes no effort whatsoever to rectify that or go back over something that needs to be worked on. I wish this was more personalised and I wish the intention was teaching instead of activity. The explanations for problems are also very brief and are usually not enough. (Just do what sololearn does)
  • What I actually think.

This is a really cool app and I like what it teaches me, but I wish I didn’t have to wait so long to learn more information and if I didn’t have to pay over $100 to get premium, I would consider buying it.

The free parts are good enough to make you consider a subscription but the subscription pricing is too expensive.
