  • Not safe for all

I was only on the app no more than 10 mins and they claimed I violated the guidelines. I didn't get a chance to talk to anyone or even make my bio for real. I uploaded my picture than next thing that happened was my account got frozen. I complained about it and they said my account had suspicious activity and then they banned me immediately after. I'm calling racial harassment because the only thing I did was post my pictures. The only people that I did see on the app were white and a few lighter complexion minorities. Be safe for all is a straight line.

Just what the review said, no way to experience the app without paying out the nose. which means no one else is gonna be on either.

There are two things in this app that you don’t have to pay for one of them is hitting the download button. The other is swiping out of the app and deleting it after you realize it’s a cash grab
  • I was Banned just at Signup

Now I understand why people complain of how this app bans people imminently. I was banned just at sign up because I mistakenly clicked for the app not to track my activities over other apps, while signing up with my mail. Why is that please?

Have talked to many people about this. I would avoid and check for other apps honestly.
  • Awful For Women and In General

This app targets women and is not a safe space. They ban users without valid reasons or genuine concern, which raises serious questions about the developers and questionable men on there. The negative reviews are accurate—beware and steer clear. The app thrives on hookup culture and explicit content, yet bans users who barely start using it. Developers’ responses are as fake as the app itself. Don’t bother replying to me—I’m not interested in deflection. In short, this is a trashy app riddled with shady, sexist business practices. Avoid at all costs.
  • Worst App Yet

I’m not sure why people are giving 5 stars and yet writing bad reviews. But don’t be fooled, this is hands down one of the worst dating apps on the market. You have to pay to be able to use it at all, and it’s not cheap whatsoever. $14 a week for a platform that barely has any users, limits the amount of time you have with them, and doesn’t even try to show you people near your area. I’m in a very populated city so if it’s dead here it’ll be even worse wherever you are. The app is convoluted and confusing to use, and pushed additional purchases in your face every single time you open the app. Truly the worst experience i’ve ever had on a dating app. Do NOT get.
  • Waste of 50$

This app is a whole lie, paid a 50$ subscription to check it out and I would have felt better throwing a 50$ bill out the window doing 80 down the interstate in the middle of nowhere where. My recommendation on this app, don’t waste your money on a subscription there’s not enough people sat there rolled the dice for 10 minutes with no matches
  • Very Disappointed

Honestly all I did was create a profile and I got banned before I was able to do anything and it won’t even tell me why SMH and I was excited to explore the app too!! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

I learned about the Pure App from another user (female) whom I met last year through a different app. I downloaded the app and purchased the only subscription package which was presented: the one-year subscription. I thought the price was steep, but I figured the high price was a good disincentive for casual subscribers, so I paid it. I set up my app with photos and information that have been successful for me on similar *free* apps. After over one month of many thousands of "likes" on other profiles, I've had perhaps five conversations. Three of these ended up almost immediately terminating due to suspicious activity by the other Pure account. The other two just fizzled out. When I paid a substantial sum just for a temporary subscription to the app, I assumed that would be it – after all, eighty bucks on virtually any other dating app would more than suffice for a positive experience. Naturally, I was discouraged that this didn't happen on Pure. However, I was determined to give them the benefit of the doubt, and so plunked another chunk of change on five "crowns," the strategic advantage of which has been ceaselessly advertised to me in the app I had already paid for. The crown concept is interesting: pay $3.50 to have your profile visible at the top of the heap — but you lose the crown as soon as another user redeems his. So imagine 1,000 crownholders all using their crowns within one hour…. That’s 60mins / 1,000 crowns = 0.06 mins or only 3.5 SECONDS per crown. Without the crowns, you don’t exist on the app. So effectively, on top of the hefty $80/yr subscription, you are paying one dollar PER SECOND just to exist and be visible on the app. I applied all five of my crowns during prime time (evening). I was replaced by another King in seconds each time, and received zero likes (again, despite success with identical profile information on similar apps). Finally, when I relayed my experience to customer service, their agent condescendingly explained how the King of the Hill system works (I hadn’t asked), and literally COPY-PASTED the same boilerplate PR response again and again instead of responding to the substantive points of my email. The greatest help he provided was in referring me to Apple to request a refund, which is now pending, both for the app itself and the “crowns.” Suffice to say this has been, start to finish, the worst dating app experience of my life. And now I have Iearned that there were cheaper, shorter-term alternatives to the yearly subscription? But of course those weren't displayed to me when I signed up – perhaps my experience is universal enough that the marketing team shoves the one-year plan down new users’ throats in order to secure as much money as possible before they discover how poor the user experience is. Please, if you are a man, ~ STEER CLEAR ~ Kings like you don’t need crowns like these 👑
