    I have loved getting to know all the varying AI helpers, prompts, assistants, etc. Perplexity is simple, offers all the bells and whistles and most importantly stream lines the information I need by knowing how I search! That is a breath of fresh air in the AI space.

    I’m a fan of Perplexity already, so when I noticed the “Mac OS app available” message, of course I had to give it a click. Download, install, done. Launch… now there’s a video with music playing, and I can’t skip it. I tried to force-close the app and re-launch, hoping maybe it was marked as played and wouldn’t run again. Nope. I have to sit here and wait for it to finish. Granted, this only runs the first time. And I can tell someone put a lot of work into that, and yeah, it’s cool. But it’s not necessary at all, so get rid of it.

    I was waffling between Gemini, Chat GPT, Claude, PiAi, and others. I was on Reddit and told to try Perplexity. I really like it. It performs different than any AI. You can tweak which engine to use and it will give you news summaries for things I am interested in. It has threads of conversation. It has some quirks, so updates can have issues, but every time it gets better. I ended up paying for a year of Pro. I just wish it would manage my emails.

    I’m recommending Perplexity to anyone as a the place to go first for any query. Especially like the references included with the answers.

    I have really enjoyed Perplexity for several months but recently, it has stopped working a good percentage of the time. It times out and asks me to try later most of the time.

    Perplexity works so smoothly on chrome browser, however after installing app, initially the queries are failing for simple prompts
