    Balatro seems like a simple game that’s easy to pick up and play anytime you have a few minutes to spare. In practice, I’ve found it to be more time-intensive with a deceptively high barrier or entry. Your starting card pool is the most bloated out of any deckbuilding game, and your consistent playing hand options are among the most limited. Necessary information is intentionally hidden from you to make the game feel more dynamic (i.e. Skinner Box). Quirky and (seemingly) approachable, but it’s very hard to commit to high level play. Meta progression mostly makes the game worse (more bloated). Good port; plays well on mobile.

    There’s no cloud sync feature, so I can’t play the game anymore. After reinstalling the app, all my data was reset.

    I won a deck but after I closed the game it took away the win and the deck. I even took a screenshot from were I won. I would like yall to give it back. I won with the blue deck.
