  • Preference Settings - just a suggestion

    Please be mindful that the preference settings (even marked as dealbreakers) DO NOT filter out who can view/like your profile. I did not appreciate my profile being on view for everyone to see. I know what I want and that is the purpose of filters/dealbreakers. I was overwhelmed by 50+ aged men sending me “likes”. I felt super vulnerable and exposed. Just a warning for those thinking about this dating app.

    I signed up to see if it was actually free. You can't see anything outside of a few people. You can't see likes, chats etc. unless you pay. Scam.

    This app is awful. I reported a rape case and they assign the ticket as solved. How can you ignore a predator being in the app even when reported and label the ticket as solved. This is ridiculous

    I was on it for a week and zero of the suggested matches were in Boise. On the seventh day the app gave me one suggestion instead of the usual three. It appears it had already run out of people. Do not waste your time.

    I’m trying this app for the first time, and I don’t know if it’s real or a scam. The experience feels bumpy, and asking for payment immediately is frustrating. It should offer a free trial, like 3 days, so new users can test the app first and decide if they like it before paying. This way, people won’t feel like they’re wasting their time, and it would make the app much more user-friendly and trustworthy.

    CMB has some features in place to encourage you to engage matches more deeply, rather than scrolling through a thousand photos. The app also tells you how often matches respond and how recently they were online. Two things annoy me about it. First, that it has a bunch of in-app purchases to boost your profile, extend conversations, etc., which is a nuisance when you're already a paid subscriber. The other is that it doesn't take long to get through their entire pool of users. Narrow that down to the profiles I find interesting, the again by those who respond, and the again by those who write back frequently enough to have their chat extended, and you end up with a VERY small pool. Google says CMB has 300 million users, with particularly strong engagement in Southeast Asia. My app can only show me users up to 250 miles away. Google also says that CMB focuses on urban professionals. I wish I had researched that before I signed up while living here in the middle of Central New York.

    Jumped on because the ads say it’s not like the rest. It’s exactly like the rest. Everything you would want to really do is stuck behind a paywall. No way to see who liked you unless you end up liking them by chance. Not going to waste money on a unknown.

    I regret signing up, I put clear filters in place and the app does not enforce them. Reached out to customer service and their solution was to reinstall the app. Thanks for wasting my time.
