TAKE FULL CONTROL Introducing Focusrite Control 2, the perfect companion app for your Scarlett 4th Gen interface. Designed for musicians, producers, and audio engineers, this powerful app gives you the freedom to remotely control your Scarlett's inputs and direct monitoring mixes from anywhere within your recording space. You no longer have to stay at your desk — experience the true flexibility and convenience of wireless control. KEY FEATURES: - Seamless wireless pairing: Seamlessly pair the app to Focusrite Control 2 on your desktop computer and enjoy wireless control. Adjust inputs and direct monitoring mixes whilst being free to roam around your recording space. - Set the perfect gain: Control your Scarlett's preamps, including Auto Gain, from wherever you are in in your recording space. It’s perfect for recording alone, allowing you to stay in your recording position without needing to move. - Multiple device control: Dial in headphone mixes with ease with control of the level, pan, mute, and solo for each channel. And if you're recording multiple musicians, they each have control of their own headphone mix so they can focus on capturing a great performance. I love my scarlet solo 4th gen, but the connection process between the iPhone and the Desktop apps are nearly impossible to get working. I hope for a fix here soon!

I think this is a great app. No trouble connecting. I think people only leave reviews for these things when they don’t work, but for me this is very useful as a solo producer.
  • Updated Due to Developer's Quick Response

UPDATE 5 Oh boy, I really did it this time, and good! So the app isn't connecting to my phone because there's a VPN in my phone. It's in there, doing silly little things, and one of the things it's doing is not allowing me to connect to this app. My review is back up to FIVE GOLDEN STARS. I gave the one star review to the VPN because it's being very nasty and hurtful to me. Apologies all around! As I write this, I am staring longingly at my 18i20. It is my friend. =D -------------------------- UPDATE 4 Now it won't connect at all, so we're back to one star. I re-installed it on both my Algorithmic Computing Machines™️, both the semi-mobile and mobile computing units, and it just won't connect for anything, by Jove. Is it angry or cross with me? My 18i20 is still great. To my 18i20 I say, "Sorry I had to give your remote algorithm a bad review, old pal." I still like Sandwiches®️, though. =D -------------------------- UPDATE 3 Nothing new to report, just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I'm doing fine. I had a nice sandwich for lunch, might go out to a Mexican restaurant with the family tonight. Cheers! =D -------------------------- UPDATE 2 Focusrite Control 2 seems to be connecting now. Maybe there was an update. Maybe it's Maybelline! Anyhoo, revised this to 5 stars because it is my friend. =D -------------------------- UPDATE 1 My review below is superseded by this one. The developer responded quickly, so that warrants an addition of stars. Unfortunately, I still spend more time connecting than controlling. However, I'm happy with my new interface. My 1st Gen 18i6 served me well for over a decade, and now my 4th Gen 18i20 is my very special friend. It sounds great and has bouncy lights. BOING BOING BOING BOING =D -------------------------- OLD REVIEW, ISSUE SOMEWHAT FIXED It has to reconnect every 2-3 minutes, and that's if you're successful in connecting in the first place. In a given hour, I spend 55 minutes trying to connect, 5 minutes with an actual connection. It also crashes often, more than I did in my high school drivers' ed class. That makes me sad and hurt with myself bigly and yuge. Awful! Terrible! Boo hiss! But the Scarlett 18i20 is great. It is my friend =D
  • Channel names?

I’ve gotten it to connect and work just fine. Is there not a way to add names of the channels in the app? I was hoping a cheat sheet wouldn’t be necessary. Also it’d be nice if it didn’t default to (Mix A) when you open it. Otherwise, the app is great and does what it should no problem. Thank you please help!

Can not control the newest 4th gen Scarlett 18i16 with the iPad app. It only works as a remote controller for the desktop version. I bought this to use as an iPad interface.
  • PLEASE ALLOW FOR DIRECT CONNECTION VIA USB FOR MY 18i8

I haven’t gotten this to work on my IPad even when my Mac has the focusrite control app on but I honestly could care less. I make music on iOS using GarageBand and on iPad using Logic Pro. PLEASE could you guys make an update allowing my 18i8 to be operated from my iPad via usb? I haven’t recorded anything yet but I know it’s going to be very tedious and annoying to have to connect my 18i8 to my Mac just to activate any settings. Allowing direct usb connection to my iPad would be perfect to avoid that. Thank you.

Can you guys add the ability to change the headphone volume from the app/pc application? That would be great

Instant failure attempting to pair the iOS app with the MacOS application. Devices are connected to the same WiFi network and are the most recent versions of FC2. Please fix! It would be great to share with the homies for adjusting IEM mixes. Loving the interface though!
