Description

Tapestry weaves your favorite blogs, social media, and more into a unified and chronological timeline. ⁕ The Web Your Way Tapestry combines posts from your favorite social media services like Bluesky, Mastodon, Tumblr along with others like RSS feeds, podcasts, YouTube channels, and more. All of your content is presented in chronological order, with no algorithm deciding what you should or shouldn't see. ⁕ A Bird's Eye View Tapestry makes it easier than ever to browse content from dozens or even hundreds of sources. Create custom timelines, seamlessly sync your reading position across devices, and keep track of feeds in an easy-to-read, color-coded stream of content. ⁕ Avoid Spoilers. Everywhere. Quickly create powerful rules that control what you do and don't see across all your feeds. Avoid potential spoilers and stay clear of unwanted topics by creating rules that muffle and mute items in everything you follow. ⁕ Powerful Searching Search for topics and terms across all feeds simultaneously. Tapestry makes it easy to find that blog post, YouTube video, or podcast you're looking for - and easy to mark it for later. ⁕ Private By Design Your privacy is a priority. Tapestry works with content stored on your device, so searching and viewing content is completely private. We never sell or share your data with third parties. ⁕ Custom Connectors Expand Tapestry’s potential with third-party connectors. Import custom connectors from trusted developers, or even write your own to add your favorite bit of data to the timeline. If there's an open data feed available, a connector can weave it into Tapestry. Additional Features: • Universal app for iOS and iPadOS • Quickly open posts in your favorite third party apps to take action • Syncs your reading position via iCloud across devices • Fully accessible using VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and more • Customize Tapestry's app icon, layout, and fonts • Create custom timelines of your favorite feeds • Mark your favorite items to read later • Light and dark mode support -------- Tapestry uses auto-renewing subscriptions. The subscription provides access to premium features like ad removal, custom timelines, feed customization, and more. The subscription will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of your subscription period and will be charged through your iTunes account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your iTunes account settings. Without a way to mark things as read, no point in putting them in a timeline. It seems this is Tapestry’s “philosophy,” but it’s a bad one. The app will always be useless to me if they have chosen not to implement the basic features expected in every other RSS reader.

This app has become my go-to daily news reader. It may take some time and effort to find all the sources, but once you do, it’s an incredible experience. The connections to Bluesky and Reddit are also fantastic. It’s one of the few apps I’ve actually bought a subscription to.

Tapestry makes catching up on the feeds you watch a one stop shop. If you use Bluesky or mastodon it is easily the best reading experience for those. In addition you can watch RSS feeds of newsgroups and see when your fave YouTube channels post. The team is really responsive too. A bug was fixed within an hour when I sent in a ticket.

Was using NetNewsWire for its barebones simplicity… Tapestry adds numerous useful features and UI elements to an “RSS” app without overloading the complexity of the user experience. Incredible app, keep it simple, thanks!

The timeline position is rock solid. Even if I prefer certain design decisions in Reeder better, Tapestry is so much more of a joy to use. The mutes and muffles are super useful (wish there were faster ways to mute an account directly from the timeline) Can’t wait for the ability to like and reply to social posts!
  • Great idea that is only getting better

This has eliminated several icons on my Home Screen. Instead of having links saved to individual sites, I now plug them into tapestry, and I never miss an article. Want to stay up to speed on a particular subreddit? Add it to Tapestry. Want to know exactly when your favorite YouTuber posts? Add it to Tapestry. And of course if you’re on Mastodon and Bluesky, you can get your entire feed there as well. There are some UI and display things I’d love to see updated, but this team is actively iterating and making the experience better. I see a bright future for this app!

I saw the app on kickstarter and almost backed it. I wish I would have. The finished app is very elegant. The colors are bright and actually add a lot to the UX. It breaks up the feed. Idk why but that alone actually makes a big difference when I’m going through feeds. So clean and smooth. I really enjoy it.
  • Such a clever idea!

Integrating multiple different social networks is an obvious and good idea, but providing a way for users to supply their own connectors is brilliant. Be sure to check out Tapestry Loom on Mac! Everything from the Iconfactory is an insta-buy and this is no exception.

So many of these news blogs and sites are a horrible experience on the web now. I’ve ditched reading some because of that. Now with Tapestry I’m pulling in feeds I can remember having fun reading but stopped because of bad web page behavior. Tapestry is a pleasant experience, and I really love the reading position sync between devices.
