This app is so helpful when trying to figure out chords for songs. HOWEVER, I’m really disappointed that they no longer offer free transposition in their app. It used to save me a lot to time, but now it’s just a hassle.

It would be great if the export could be a docx file so you can make corrections. Allow notations, for example intro , verse. Correct incorrect lyrics or use alternate chords. The tool is great but pdf formatting gets lost using copy and paste. Keep up the good work. It is a helpful tool.

Tier: lifetime This application has saved me hours and the inversions are not a gimmick. The lyrics detection works, but I’ve had situations where even with high quality songs the detection only starts mid way. Perhaps with the dictionary you could add real time recognition of chords with inversions as no other app does that, and you have the technology to do so. Or maybe add a keyboard so you can place the notes you want and have it show you the chords that go with it. Not a deal breaker by any means, but there is a fair I would really appreciate and that is what you might call a ludicrous mode. What you currently have for detecting inversions is indeed top tier. However, certain songs might have notes in the same chord but be different inversions of it. An example of this is movement four of Beethoven 5th Symphony where you have the main C major chord, but in root, then first and second inversions. So what I would be hoping for is the app in this mode to yes give us the chord being played, but I’d there are inversions of said chord before the next chord, that it would show or play them as well. Essentially this would make it far more easy to learn songs since sometimes you have inversion transitions before the next true chord change. BUG: — If I set the chord audio to on, if there is a chord starting at bar one, that chord is silent, until the chord switches. Ideally you should hear the chord sound even at bar one. NOTE: If the chord is black with a - at bar one, and the chord changes, no issues. It is only when we have a labeled chord at the start. — Finally, I like the export PDF, but it would be nice if you could export the chords as MIDI data, along with the correct durations so you could import into a DAW, for example, along with the tempo info and the left and right hands, in two tracks as you already have that. One note, it would be nice if in the main UI, you list compatible file formats so you don’t have to guess as I did AAC only to realize it will not work so if a file can’t work, maybe add a message. And of course, any improvements to the chord detection overall is welcome. It is stellar but I won’t complain about improvements. Overall, a really good app!

I am enjoying exploring this app and am considering upgrading. I think it has a great set of features, including speech recognition, along with chord. recognition, tempo and key. I only wish there was a way to change the file names. Being stuck with "memo 1" makes it hard to know which file I have recorded.
  • Very Cool App. Now that major bugs are corrected, I can recommend Five stars.

Two major bugs squashed. You can now adjust the Lyrics size a bit more, and the "Language Selection" bug has been corrected. So, I can now give a Five star recommenation. This thing works FAST! Best features are the Chord recognition features. The AI lyrics features still needs "help" (as AI learns better speech recognition) The sound quality of this thing is very good. Most impressive is the customer service they provide. Vivien is very good at responding to and correcting any issues! The MusicMemos app is virtually identical to its Big Sister app Chord ai. The only difference is, Chord ai is "Subscription only", but has a couple extra features. There is still a "FREE" version of Chord ai, which is limited to (40) songs, but you gain the use of Youtube and another feature. But, the advantage of the MusicMemos little sister app is it offers a "ONE TIME" purchase option. I went for that, and use the free (limited to 40 songs) Chord ai when I want to get a song off of Youtube.

I had very little time to learn a set of original material for a fill-in gig. Music Memos allowed me to load the recordings in and print out useable chord charts with lyrics. The results, while not absolutely accurate, were plenty good enough to do a final listen through and jot down cues, etc. Overall, happy with the app.

Very confusing, no lyrics are printed making it very difficult to play or follow the progression.

I play the ukulele, and I normally spend many hours trying to get the right chords for songs I want to play. Chordify and other websites posting chords are neither convenient nor accurate, whereas Music Memos produces accurate chords and fairly accurate lyrics in seconds. My very first time using it, I found that every chord matched the original recording as I played along. Yes, I needed to tweek a few of the lyrics, but you cannot deny the time saved by using this software. I know I will continue to use this, and I've started my paid subscription.
