  • Creates unreadable PDFs

    This app is problematic for several reasons. It installs an app called COS PDF, which is not the title in the App Store. Then when you save a PDF from it and try to open in Preview (or even just open a PDF which was previously opened in the app without saving it), a warning from the Mac appears, saying the Mac can’t verify that it’s free of malware. This is an alarming notice that I’ve never seen before. Also, COS PDF automatically switches all PDFs to open in that app by default, which is inconsiderate without asking. Apple usually has better safeguards than this. No app with this many problems should be allowed on the App Store.

  • The sign feature is too hard

    I tried this and wanted to love it, but the feature that lets you "sign" a pdf is an ink drawing feature. So you have to manually try to draw your signature with the mouse or trackpad EVERY TIME you want to sign something. too difficult and time consuming, i wish it would let you save a standard signature that can just be re-applied whenever needed.

    This can be used to convert from PDF to word docs, however all text is just rendered as images and therefore isn't editable. So this app was a waste of money.

    Love this easy to use app. I haven't explored all the facets of the app, but the highlight and annotate features are easy to use. Unfortunately, to keep using it requires a subscription annually for $30 or a one time purchase for $50. That's the only thing keeping me from giving it a fifth star in my rating. If I were a full time student or teacher, I'd pay for it. But as a casual user and not using it for professional purposes, I can't see the point in paying for something I'll seldom use. Think about it.
