  • The program is great, but the app needs a lot of improvements

The new program in itself is a great idea. I love the idea of developing a better relationship with food. However, the app needs a lot of work when it comes to the food logging. There are multiple foods listed twice with different colors, so you don’t know which one is correct. Also, when searching up a food in the list, it doesn’t show you the color of the food unless you click on it. It would be very helpful, and an easy fix, for the developers to put the color next to the food. so you can see immediately which one of the three colors it is without having to click on it.

This is a very expensive program that you can only get for a moderately expensive price when you say no to everything at least once. Their “free 6 months” isn’t off a 12 month program at half the cost which would’ve been more reasonable, it’s a 6 month price plan with “6months free” which is a more expensive plan. Almost everything in the “psychology” aspect is stuff you’ve probably read in every health magazine or article. Also, why don’t you have picture for food item lookup?!?! Every free app that lets you track your food pretty much comes with pictures. I have also found that the item list is very low compared to other apps. It has asked me several times already if I want to add the food item to the list which is disappointing because I shouldn’t have to be constantly adding nutritional information to a paid app. Getting used to the foods being rated by color is also very difficult to get used to. It also doesn’t come with meal plans, just recipes that are graded by color which usually indicates how much vegetables are in the recipe. So far I am not impressed at all.

I’m kind of disappointed that I can’t talk to a human and get immediate feedback.

Great tool for weight loss and maintenance. They are a bit confusing with meal count right now but normally spot on. Works well with Oura!! Very easy!! All that being said, when I decided I didn’t need the program to lose weight they cut all 3 of my years of running meal counts off. I find this annoying considering I was promised it ongoing.

Too many up charges and hidden fees on something that can already be obtained for cheaper elsewhere.
  • Good program, buggy app

I used Noom 5 years ago to lose some weight and absolutely loved the program, so when it became time to lose more I came back. But I found that the app is now quite buggy. The lessons force me to do the “quiz” before I even get a chance to read the articles. I am unable to pin additional tools to the home screen. If I want to look back at previous days there is a 50/50 chance I can without restarting the app first. And I really wish they’d update their food database, a lot of the calorie and macro information is either outdated or just plain wrong. Despite the technical issues it’s still a good approach to health and weight loss. I just wish they’d fix the bugs, it’s super annoying.
