  • Mindful eating

So far, I have been pleased with the way. The new app helps me eat more mindfully. I love the way. The foods are color coated as I am a visual person.
  • Inaccurate Food Tracking

The food tracking feature is really inaccurate. Barcode scanner never turns up found foods. Offered opportunity to manually enter, but it doesn’t save what you enter or add it to the database. Available foods seem to have really inaccurate nutritional information. Hard to track food intact this way when so bad!
  • Meal tracking is a nightmare

This app is WAY TOO expensive to not have a better meal tracking tool. The database is terrible, the interface makes it too easy to make mistakes, the meal creation interface is even worse…. There are much better apps out there that also rely on habit making. I DON’T recommend Noom. The app is ALSO super buggy!!! That this point I even believe the pricing is predatory…
  • Do NOT use Noom - ESPECIALLY Noom Med

Horrifically, unethically, mind-blowingly incompetent staff. They have the worst support experience I have ever encountered in my whole life. They will take your money and give you absolutely nothing but an aneurism from sheer frustration. STAY FAR AWAY FROM NOOM!!! Just go to a real doctor, or literally use any other online service.
  • Did Not work

I Used it for a year with absolutely no results. I think the coaching aspect of it is good. But I think the color system of tracking data did not work for me. Also I had the app over a year and at least half of the year the ability to track activities did not work. I mentioned this to my coach and reached out a few times but this was never fixed. I think this also influenced my one star. It’s too expensive 129.00 dollar per year for not all functions of the app to work.

If you want to have your Fitbit sync with it, it’s not the greatest. I do enjoy the weight loss program, but if you’re trying to get your step in and have them count toward your activity, this is not the app.
  • WASTE OF TIME

ASKED ME 500 QUESTIONS AND AT THE END WHEN IT WAS FANIALLY GETTING TO THE PART WHERE I COULD ACTUALLY USE THE APP IT TIRED TO CHARGE ME 100 dollars
  • Helpful for weight loss but inconsistent and glitchy

It’s been helpful to learn the psychology behind eating and habits, and I’ve learned a lot about the impact of certain foods on my weight, but the app itself is difficult to navigate and often glitchy: - I do different exercises and when I go to manually log these in, I cannot adjust the duration or miles (e.g. for a run). - when looking up food, you can choose from several inputs of the same item but the servings and associated calories are inconsistent. And often the labeling is different. So for a veggie omelette, this will either count as a green food or yellow. And you may be logging a cup serving, but in one input it will be 180 calories, and 240 in the other. Also, the servings are unclear. Do you mean palm size? Two cupped hands? What is a serving? Ironically, they have a lesson about servicing size distortions and yet there is no consistency in their serving sizes or portions.
  • Food log needs improvement

There should be a more comprehensive way of tracking nutrition. You can turn on macros but I’d like to see more like fiber, iron, etc. I know they’re trying to keep it simple for people new to weight loss but there should be more options if you have a specific nutritional focus. If Noom wasn’t free from my insurance I’d migrate to a different app.

They’ve now locked meal logging behind their ridiculously expensive subscriptions. Sadly, deleting after using that feature for almost 10 years.
