  • The ads ruined it

I’ve been using vsco since 2016. At first, there was no payments at all, use of all tools when editing, and no ads. It was my favorite social media app for years. Within the last couple years they added premium accounts for payment. At first the price wasn’t too bad so I paid it since I loved the app. Now, the premium account price is so ridiculously high, you can’t use most editing features without it, and there’s ads. At first the ads weren’t too bad popping up in your feed every now and then. However, within the last couple weeks they added SO MANY ads. At this point I’m considering not even using the app anymore because of how often there’s pop up ads. Please change this or risk losing thousands of users.
  • Subscription increase by $10!! For no new features

Why is the subscription increasing to $40!!! The lack of “new” features is absurd. That remove tool has been in beta for HOW LONG?!
  • Not user friendly

Worked great until I subscribed for premium features. As soon as they started charging me $12 a month to edit photos (not worth the $12) the app completely stopped working. None of the features work. The app either says I need to allow full photo access (I have) or that the media can’t be accessed. 0/10, find a different app.
  • Ads haven taken over Rip

Been using this app for over 10 years.. and I definitely remember reading something on their website about their commitment to the absence of likes, ads, and other things that make social media a tricky or self conscious place. It said something like “we will never have these things because we want this to be a place for pure creativity”, or to that effect. I remember that cause that’s why I liked it so much. Well if they said that it’s definitely all gone now. These ads are so annoying. Also i hate Amazon. I can’t go anywhere without being assaulted by their stupid and very unethical company. If you’re gonna have ads pls just let them not be something as unoriginal as instagram and amazon. the point of vsco is that it’s not instagram! The ads that take over your screen are the ones that crossed a line. I think if this app is not gonna loose a large loyalty base this needs to change. But the guap is rolling in now in a big way.. I used to work with ads so it’s probably hard to say no. But dang I’m bummed
  • Disappointing

You will know the maker by the product: blue hair, facial piercings, and pronoun pins. Demographics do not make something beautiful; beauty has no demographic. I miss the days when photos were beautiful regardless of who took them, rather than ugly as can be and shoved down our throats as we're pressured to call it beautiful based on the self-proclaimed demographic that took it.

PLEASE GET RID OF THE ADDS. THEY ARE SO UNNECESSARY!!!!!Every time they update this app they mange to make it significantly worse. I’ve consistently used VSCO since 2018 and I used to love the app but now I despise it. Bring back the 2018/2020 VSCO.

no ads was the biggest reason why i used this. bye!
  • No sound notifications- Major flaw

    By Billy-rick
The app has potential and a clean interface, but the lack of sound notifications is a serious drawback. I’ve missed multiple important updates/messages simply because there’s no audible alert. In today’s world, real-time communication is key, and sound alerts are a basic feature users expect. Please prioritize adding this in a future update – until then, it’s not practical for daily use.
  • Too many ADs

By I hate the Ads too many
I have always been a strong supporter of VSCO, but recently, my experience with the app has become quite frustrating due to the overwhelming number of advertisements. It seems like I’m confronted with a new ad every two seconds, even though I’m a paid VSCO member. This constant barrage of promotional content has made logging into the app feel more bothersome than enjoyable. Every time I try to dismiss an ad by clicking the “x” button, I often find myself redirected to Temu or some other website, which is incredibly irritating. VSCO, I urge you to reconsider your advertising strategy and either significantly reduce the number of ads or eliminate them altogether, as they are detracting from the overall user experience.
