  • Mileage tracking

This app is pretty good. But if you use it to track your mileage, it’ll chew through your battery. My phone is always hot because of this app and I have to charge my phone by mid-morning.
  • Another update, more issues

I continue to struggle with the impacts of updates to the apps. Unfortunately they seem to bring more issues then benefits. I’m on the road a lot for my business so I rely on the dependability and consistency of the app and it’s a struggle many days. Some of the current issues are: Invoice due dates aren’t correct. Always show “Due Tomorrow” even if you have a future date assigned. Invoice and estimate templates constantly default to “modern” which is terrible. Takes multiple attempts to revert back to the previous template only for it to be changed back again with the next update. Customer name doesn’t always show up on estimate. There is no way to call the customer from the invoice anymore. You have to leave the invoice/estimate and pull up the customer in the customer list in order to contact them. Hopefully by providing this feedback, QuickBooks can make some updates that will actually bring some efficiency and benefits!

  • Why can’t it calculate anymore ?

Until the latest update, the user could perform calculations in the sales receipts and the expenses. Now I have calculate outside the app. Really inconvenient

I use QB and QBO app. The app is pretty buggy. I often have to stop the app and restart.
  • Runs battery down fast! Lacks many useful features needed from the website

It lacks a bunch the website has, so I found out it’s just much better to save the webpage to the Homescreen and just not use the app, which is how I’ve been using my QB online. I knew QB app was recording my mileage, but I never noticed just how much battery it eats. I started noticing my phone absolutely burning up while driving. I suppose I could have turned it off, but the app simply isn’t worth keeping anyways. I remembered to check my battery usage and QB was using over 26% of my battery in strictly background usage!! Unacceptable!
  • Helpful but buggy

    1. Love the access to my books on the app 2. App offered to create rule (good!). But then wanted to create rule for next set of transactions and searched around- there’s no button to manually create a rule! ???? 3. Should utilize different (configurable) functions for swipe LEFT AND RIGHT. I Want swipe left for approve. Swipe right for quick pick list would appear right there for category. and LONG PRESS for CREAT RULE. 4. To top it off - tried the “request a feature” function to suggest these things - but learned it only accepts 256 characters (umm how about more ). AND to top it off - when I hit submit I got an error! So posting here.
  • Receipt scanner

Your receipt “scan” doesn’t scan any information off the receipt, so you have to manually enter the merchant name and cost, and when you’re inputting the cost, it doesn’t have a decimal on the keyboard so $8.45 can I my be input as $845. PLEASE FIX
  • Expense function in iphone app is messed up

I’ve never really liked the expense entry function as it seemed cumbersome. I use Concur for work where I can pick a Credit Card transaction, categorize and add a picture easy, this app doesn’t have that function. That said, it has become more challenging. Now when I go to enter text on the app the screen scrolls down and I can’t see what I’m typing. If I were only entering one expense no big deal, however I am often entering dozens at a time so the extra scrolling is a huge time waster. Also very disappointed we can’t enter a Bill on the app. Instead, we have to take picture to save to attachments and then go on the laptop and create the Bill and then find the right picture. Again time intensive.
  • Non existent customer service

The employees pretend to escalate your case or to check to see if anyone else is available without placing you on an actual hold. They have zero knowledge nor do they care about the service provided. Stay far away from QuickBooks
