This app seems off. Sun is up but it’s dark out. Not user friendly.

The free version of the app is really good and I hope they continue to make it better and I imagine that the paid for version of the app is even better

This app used to be my favorite but then they did a revamp and removed pretty much everything I enjoyed. It now has a monthly subscription, the solar weather feature is nowhere to be found, and anything that used to be fun an exciting is now paywalled. I paid for the app back before this change and you would think it would grandfather anything in but it didn’t. I am not sure if there are better alternatives nowadays but this app feels like it sold out and took away everything to make a profit. I cant see any real events happening on any night. Much harder to find anything you want to and a lot of the ‘features’ they added are gimmicks like fake aurora on the screen but no way to track REAL aurora. Sad to see the decline. (Old) This is amazing the technology and research that had to have gone into this must have been incredible it is easy to use and can give you a new perspective of the sky even from inside your home

This is one of the best apps I’ve gotten. I like how it shows where the planets are in the sky and helps you find them. I was able to recognize two stars in the sky as Fomalhaut and Altair. However, I took a star off because I couldn’t find the “dark sky finder” advertised in the App Store, so if someone could reply that would be appreciated. Also, I would like to see the weather where I am to see best viewing conditions like when it’s not overcast.
  • Amazing App!

As a complete novice that finds skies and what’s out there fascinating, the app is more that perfect. Download it and you’ll probably find yourself using it way more than you thought you would! Highly recommend.
