    Used to be able to click on an article, column, or puzzle to open it and then enlarge it for better readability. Seattle Times has broken this function, possibly believing we have screens the size of a newspaper to read on. A significant downgrade in accessibility for this newspaper, which is sad as there are good articles… if only we could read them…

  • Useable but clunky and missing features

    On my iPhone 14, the app runs smoothly and responsibly. When reading in article mode, the formatting gets wonky because of line breaks being in different places and no support for multiple headers. I would like to see an option for dark mode and a CTRL+F-style search feature.

    It’s disgusting that this app collects even my hand gestures and the way I nod my head? This is horrifying technological overreach. Very difficult and confusing to opt out. Shame on you.

    I used to like the app, but the current release only allows a full page to be viewed, not individual articles. Also, the links to continuation pages no longer work. So it’s now too inconvenient, forcing me back to the web site.

    Make it work more like the replica on the website - that works great. I like reading a page (not two) at a time, wish stayed same zoom as read page to page on my iPad.

    This app makes reading the paper as authentic as the real thing. There is a reason that newspapers have the format that they do,and this app remains true to that experience. It is easy to scan through the paper to find the stories that interest you. It is also easy to zoom in for easy reading. Text and photos are clear and neatly presented navigation is straightforward and intuitive.

    This app has been well below mediocre forever. It is balky, shuts down frequently and is the worst app I have ever used, but it’s the only way to read the local news.

    Absolutely awful app! Does not update to current edition. The Seattle Times Company should be ashamed of this app. It is a sad commentary on the sad state of newspaper journalism. If you want people to read your paper, you really should listen to them.

    I signed up for Seattle Times using my Google login. The Print Replica app is “unsupported” when attempting to ‘Sign in with Google’.
