  • What in god's name is up with this "Unable to Verify" nonsense?

The app itself is great. Leaving a 1-star review to get the developer's attention. Why did you make it so an internet connection is required to verify and launch iReal on Mac? I paid for the app and downloaded it. It's installed on a device that has my Apple account on it. Why in god's name would you need me to re-verify this EVERY TIME I LAUNCH THE APP? Has it not occurred to you that I might still need to use the app while I'm offline? Whoever decided to implement this "feature" was un-****ing-believably obnoxious.

If only I had this back in the 80's when I was in highshool. Jamey Abersold was great but this app just takes it beyond anything I could ever imagine. I'm a bass player & really appreciate that a bass player made this a reailty. In he practice room and on the gig this is where it's at! Thanks so much iReal cats!

I love the sounds/songs this app puts out. There were a couple accessibility issues that were standing in the way of my being able to dive in and create with it. I wrote them, they make improvements, and now I'm having fun creating new music with this.

Review revision: I did figure out how to synch between my three devices. But I still think some kind of a written manual would be useful - and not that hard to do. Original review I have this app on my Mac, my iPhone and my iPad. I use it every day for at least an hour. So I really like it. But there's not manual and the Youtube videos are not that helpful. Also, contacting them for support is useless. I've asked them about how I synch between my three devices and I just keep getting a link to a useless video about installing the app on ultiple devices. It seems they could do a lot better if they just had a simple written set of instructions like every other piece of of software.

I am an intermediate guitar player, learning jazz. This app, after even one week of regular use, has accelerated my ability to learn jazz by orders of magnitude. This is what I have been looking for forever. After a few more years of regular use, I am confident I will become the expressive melodic musician I have always knew I was able to become, I can already feel it starting to build. I am forever grateful to iReal Pro, for the continued gift of learning music. You got a lifelong champion in me. Bravo.
  • One Page Limit is a Deal-Breaker

I just wanted to make some nice looking chord charts to share with a bandmate. Had I known you can't go over a page, I wouldn't have wasted $20.
  • Great for beginners

Just playing shell/tone chords along with songs allows you to start feeling more 'musical' as a beginning guitar player, which I am. Being able to slow down the tempo is super helpful. iReal has made learning more enjoyable and fun.
  • Editing is awful

I like this app, but get with the 20th century and make score editing usable. Add, edit, insert, delete... these are not new concepts but you make them incomprensible and a real hassle.
  • Great app but...

Great app though be aware you have to purchase the desktop and iOS version separately. I had to get on with Apple Support to determine this.
