  • Not sure how the updated version is better

No longer can easily save a location as a favorite. You have to dig around the app to find basic functions like editing, a location, name or title.
  • Doesn’t work well with Apple Pay

An update is needed so that the directions show up on Apple Pay. When it comes up, it only shows a black line on the top with no information or anything and no directions on the screen just a map an arrow if this is fixed, then I can definitely give it a five star because it does exactly what I needed to do When I use it
  • Can’t Access Live Traffic

The live traffic reports disappeared with the new update. Also, the customer service isn’t good. I sent in a request for help 24 hours ago and haven’t had a response yet.

I downloaded this app because it acknowledges The Gulf of Mexico….. DUH…while wonky at first, I ADORE the new little retro unicorn…and other things that let you know where you are… a tiny and fun embrace of cuteness, geographical realities, and freedom!!!!!
  • Wanted to love it but…

Switched from Waze upon learning they’re political standing but as I often drive in cities for work, I’m just finding mapQ unable to recalculate routes quick enough when driving in small roads, and the locator dot icon keeps disappearing during the drives when connected to my car. I hope mapQ takes an opportunity to upgrade features. I’d pay if it improves but also would pay a one time fee as opposed to monthly- in this economy?!

Got us super lost b/c of their grossly outdated maps. Lastly, GUI is embarrassingly childish!
  • Poor Organizing

The lack of the ability to organize locations into folders or collections is a deal breaker for me. Not a GPS app.
  • New Update

The new update is horrendous, I’ve been consistently using Mapquest since the printing your directions out days, and this new update is practically unusable. I don’t even know where to start, it’s not even shooting itself in the foot it skipped that step and put the gun straight to its head. The fact that it has ads now is whatever, I assume revenues are down, but EVERY single thing is less clear or missing functionality. Seriously guys, revert the changes, whack whoever thought this was a good idea over the head, and fire their boss for approving this. This update is the thing that’s going to get the, presumably, few people who haven’t already done it to to drop Mapquest for Google maps
  • What in the world?!

It’s July, so this can’t be an April Fools joke. Is it a prank? Are we being trolled? Where’s Ashton? I am legitimately and thoroughly confused as to how anyone could have signed off on this modification (I can’t call it an update). Please bring back the normal Mapquest. 10/25/25 Update: still horrible compared to the previous version. I don’t even see how to log in. And please don’t reply to me with you understand that people miss parts of the previous version. No.. we miss everything about the previous version. No one likes this juvenile non-functional app.
  • Update is Unusable

I used to be able to find directions from one location to another. Now it only lets me get directions from my exact location to a destination. I am not always starting from my present location. When planning a trip, it was helpful to know how far it would have been from my hotel to a restaurant. I can no longer do that.
