Duke Energy charger at the Florida Turkey Lane station directs the users to download Chargeup app - Apple app has 2 Chargeup apps: this one with the blue lighting symbol in blue circle (stay away from it) and the correct one with green lighting symbol in white circle, Chargeup Driver. So easy to download the wrong app when standing in full sun under 100 degree temp with major summer storm fast approaching. After getting frustrated with this app that doesn’t work and downloading the correct one, you find out that this scam app has enrolled you in a pay membership and you need to cancel it to avoid a $19.95 auto charge on card entered when setting up this scam by mistake. Reporting it - If you have been scammed, report too.

This app does not work. And no way to cancel.

This is not associated with Duke energy or any other electric utility. There is no way to cancel your account in the app after you have signed up. There is no way to determine this app is not associated with the charge stations on Floridas turnpike until they have your credentials and credit card info in their clutch. If you want to charge your vehicle at a legitimate charging station with this app it will not work, for this purpose this app is a scam.

This app copied the name of a different app that was supposed to be used for starting the charger. Do not buy this app its only use is to find chargers which is built in on most EV’s. Wasted money on a subscription that didn’t even help

Not for charging using the novacharge network like they are impersonating

Paid $4.99 on this scam-like app but the correct app was of a different name. They should take this off the App Store or change the name. Terrible.

Found No charge stations [zero]

Got this app because a charging station told me to get an app called ChargeUP. This is not it. The app I needed was Chargeup Driver. Wasted $3 on this app which I will be asking to be refunded. Pretty annoyed that there’s an app that’s so similarly named to what charging stations need you to use that I wasted time and money getting it.
