    Like the game. It all plays pretty well. Wish it had a couple features, like club selection (ie being able to put from the fringe). Also bummed my $20 pass only lasted 1 month. My bad, I should have read better. Wish I could support the app with a lifetime purchase!

    This game could’ve been wonderful but without significant changes it’s just hot garbage. The only game play 95% of the time is 1v1 for one hole, hardly a good test of golf skill. Add to that where at least half your matches end in a tie and you get to decide who wins based on a stupid closest to the pin competition on par 3s that are ridiculously designed. Then layer on top where people can hit shots out of bounds and aren’t penalized for it, you just have to hit your next shot over, so basically it encourages people to go for complete non golf shots to win. But the worst part about it is? They already have a golf game out, so theoretically they should know how golf works and yet playing this game one would have no clue that was the case. This game NEEDS the following: - more and better modes, so everything isn’t just a single hole match and a garbage sudden death mode - proper penalties for bad shots, so people aren’t rewarded for playing low percentage plays and getting lucky once in awhile - better designed holes, every course feels like you’re playing in an active minefield trying to hit the one spot that won’t nuke your chances to score, and the par 3s are absurd. Real life par 3s usually have an iron shot in, virtually every par 3 here requires a wood that can’t stop on the green unless you play some weird running shot. Until I see improvements, I can’t in good conscience rate this game any higher.

    So far this is a great game. In the recent update they made putting easier which is a huge mistake. Many of the other games like this all have the same problem: get it to the green and 1 putt everything. On the first version I was excited to have a game where putting is more realistic. It now plays like its competitors which is a step backwards. Also the hole is way too big. It makes it feel childish and the game otherwise plays more realistic. Fix those two things and they have something here. Overall, really like it. Also, having to effectively pay to open “crates” or golf bags you earn is insane. In an industry of micro transactions, that’s a crazy move.

    I was excited for this new iteration of Golf Star, but it’s been changed too much from the original. Not sure if that was the intention but it’s been a let down for a long time player of the original. I’m especially disappointed with how I can’t customize my player. Why do I only get the option to have a single complexion? Would’ve been nice to “port” over some settings from the original version so we could start off at a higher level rather than having to start as a beginner again and have to play the same hole over and over. I do enjoy the new graphics and enjoy the physics, but not quite worth it from what I’ve come to expect from the original.

    This version is great! Beautiful graphics and gameplay is good. Wish there was more holes to play in the 1 vs 1 mode. Maybe 3-6 holes.
