I rely on it to run my business and it's a pleasure to use. I love how well it integrates with the rest of Affinity design apps

I'd really love this suite if they interchange with Adobe was better. Losing text and layers when saving to a PSD or Tiff is a compatibility killer. Saving directly out to an Illustrator file would also be a plus.

I really enjoy using it. I create a free online magazine almost every month. Still learning to use it. Thoroughly explained videos and help tips from the developers make using this software super easy. Worth buying it. However after the recent update, it crashed a few times.

I should have tried Version 1 first. This publisher is not as intuitive as MS Publisher, where everything is available on one tool bar from drop-downs, and is extremely easy to use. I've learned how to locate most of the tools needed, having to make notes how to get to the location again. Help often refers to Version 1. For example: Fill a text box with color. Help says, Studio/Text Frame/Fill Stroke, but it's not how to do it on V.2: Window/Text/text Frame. Why not have a tool button for inserting a hyperlink, instead of multiple steps. Also need default hyperlink to be https://. people in the states universally use secure hyperlinks. Anyway, I've purchased and will get a better grip on usage—there's always a learning curve. Bonus: No annual fees, doesn't require cloud restrictions/storage, etc. Where's an replacement for MS Office that is not controlled by Microsoft and cloud? Ask me again to rate this software in three months!
  • WORTH THE MONEY!!! ESPECIALLY ON MAC

I was a PC user for decades and transitions to a Mac after seminary. I also used Microsoft Office exclusively for writing and for the publisher app. Unfortunaltely, Microsoft doesn't see the need to make a publisher version for Mac. After much research, and much wasted money on much more expensive programs, I discovered Affinity. Compared to the priced of the other "editors" and "publisher like" programs, the price of this program was way better and the user reviews were all glowing (except for those who obviously not real publisher users). So, I paid for the licence that covered all three Affinity apps. This app has a very user friendly interface. There is a short learning curve, but there are so many YouTube videos that give help. When I am trying someting new, I simply google "Affinity 2 how to..." and up pops an appropriate video. I use this program for all my church social media production, weekly bulletins, directories, event flyers, printing stickers and nametags, and other editing of recieved files from others that can't edit on the program they have on their computer. In summary, YES, get this program. in addition to all of the things i came up with here they have add-ons that you can buy to enhance your creations. Make yourself look professional without hiring one, or spending porofessional money. FIve Stars - and yes, i have recommended it to a friends, several actually. Pastor Rob

came from the CSS Adobe suite and the scope there was amazing. But I couldnt afford the upgrade to 64 bit to work in Newer Macs. this has been an admirrable substitute once you learn the system which was a steep learning curve but worthwhile. The Photo app is a bit more difficult to handle than Photoshop but still a bargain.
  • I Love Affinity Publisher

I usually don’t write reviews, but I use Affinity Publisher and love it! I use it for business cards, product labels, and much more, and it has all the features I need (and then some) at an affordable price to boot. The only thing I desparately wish it had is correct handling of variable fonts, considering I’ve purchased a few. The macOS (but not Windows) version of Publisher lets you select predefined instances or styles of a variable font (i.e., regular, italic, bold), which is better than nothing, but even that doesn’t work right. For example, if I choose the condensed style on a variable font, APub swaps in the correct, narrow glyphs (👍), but lays them out as if the text was normal width, leaving unsightly gaps around the letters (👎). That issue notwithstanding, I’m very happy with Affinity Publisher and it easily earns five-stars from me.

The ability to switch between all three programs of the same suite in the same window is nuts. I'm so glad I get to learn publishing on this app as I can't afford Adobe. Thank you developers :)
