  • Too much advertising

I really wanted to like this app, but in the end if just felt like a big advertisement. We used it last week in Glacier National Park and were disappointed that there was very little meaty content in the audio and rather was just ‘stop at xyz and pay they for blah blah blah’. It felt pretty clear that the developers knew very little about the park and were just saying what was easy or likely what they were paid advertising money to say. We wanted good content about the history and geology along the way but just didn’t get that.
  • Loved it, but....

We used the app to do the Grand Loop today. The tracking and information was very good. However it drained the battery and when trying to recharge the phone it would overheat. I had to re-sort to trying to cool my phone using the air conditioner vent.

Had one day to spend in Rocky Mountain National Park and this app delivered! No cell service for majority of the day but had continuous access to the app - the maps, the tour guide as you drive is amazing. Highly recommend purchasing the subscription.

It’s great to get real time distances and info about every hike and landmark in Acadia. You don’t really need to get the subscription if it’s only a week long trip. It is a need to have app though that when compared, includes more information than the official park service app.
  • Can’t see pins on map

Just bought this app to help navigate our trip to Glacier. Waste of money! You can’t see the pinned spots on the map, when you click a pin it does give you information on that spot but it’s not very helpful with being able to see it on the map so you can plan out your day. Save your money, just get a park map!
  • A must.

For me, this app is a must. I haven’t found anything that overlays the actual NPS map over a gps guided road map. Also, the interactive POIs along the way with the little haptic blip when you approach one is a great touch. I also love the wildlife heat maps.
  • Disappointed

The app seemed to be populated by user data and many trails were just dots where the user probably started and then lost signal. Very expensive for the offering. Going back to all trails.
  • Excellent Source of Info

Excellent Source of Information. The offline GPS map was a lifesaver — even in areas with no cell signal, I always knew exactly where I was and what trails or viewpoints were nearby.
  • Looking forward to more.

App looks great, useful, and very operational. Unfortunately I’m in TX and don’t have a ton of use for it right now, looking forward to the addition of national forests and state parks so I can really appreciate its utility.
  • Need to be able to search for what species hit map you are looking for

Not being able to search for a specific animal you are looking for is quite infuriating. Kind of regret paying for the full version just because I can’t search for specific animal hot maps. This app has potential it just needs a few quality of life improvements
